Why not? It looks good and from what I understand you don't have to polish it like chrome or polished stainless. Besides we all need a little bling here and there to make life interesting. Looks awsome Neal. I want to see video of the first race though! The suspense is killing me.....

 

HI!... Well JMC and I went to my engine builders today and picked up my built 5.4. We wasted no time after we got back to my place starting to put her back together. Here's a few pics of our progress so far :

HI!... Well I got a few more items installed today. Hopefully we can fire it up next weekend.

 

HI!... Took a few more pics tonight after work with better light. Got a few more of the smaller things hooked back up, and installed my twin oil filter relocator. Also picked up the "PROPER" alternator pulley tonight. The one I had was rubbing the case. Also a new 6 rib P/S steering pulley will be here tomorrow. Don't ask. lol!

HI!... Well my P/S pulley came in today and I got it installed same with the proper alternator pulley. Tried to install the new belt but it seems to be about 3" too long. Must be the MMR underdrive crank pulley and the MEZIERE W/P idler pulley. New shorter belt will be here on FRIDAY. Not too much to do now. A few electrical connectors have to be lengthened and custom heater hose has to be made up, some oil filter fittings and bleeding of the brakes. If I had my new chip in already I would be able to drive her this weekend but that's not going to happen I don't think.

Anyway, finished off the ABS module brake lines. Here's a few pics :

 

HI!... Also took a few pics of the TQ plate I bought when having my 5.4 block machined. Pricey at just over $600(CAN).

Just a tip on those brake lines though: I've done a lot of plumbing with them, and the one thing they don't like is chafing against each other. Wherever two rub together, take three small zip ties. Go around each of the hoses loosely with one on each, then use a zip-tie to tie the two zip ties together, then snug the two down around the lines. That forms a 'chain' of zip-ties with the lines running through the outside 'links' of the chain. It keeps them separated from each other preventing the chafe, but still allows them to flex as much as they want.

Like I said, just a little helpful tip.

HI!... Thanks JOE, but I'm going to use some speical spark plug plastic divider clips to seperate them and keep them looking neat. Greatr suggestion though. Thanks again.
