I was in the club...just traded in my 99 S-Cab Lariat 4.6 with 146171 miles for an 08 S-Cab Lariat 5.4 with 16 miles...it'll be a few years before I get back into the club.

I guess I'll make this my first post.

I'm at 107,000 miles on my 2002 F150 Supercab. The only reason I found this site is I am having my first problem with it and am looking around for solutions.

I've got that miss problem that many say can be a cop (or all of them) or maybe a MAFS or an IAC. Who knows. I'll figure it out. I'm not a mechanic. My dad was but he died before learning how to work on cars with computers.

Oh and the only other problem really is the odometer keeps going black. I read about a cold solder joint fix for that somewhere, but I'm going to live with that a while longer.

well, she(97 4.6) just turned 160k while moving cross countrty

after driving 2000 miles it needed plugs after changing plugs it ran ok but would stall at stops, turns out parts place sold me wrong plugs and wire sets

so now it's in the shop,i just don't have the time and all my tools are in storage

it's also getting pads and rotors / lube and oil / and ($$$) new headers to replace the crack ones

oh well it's been a good truck, i'll keep it a while longer

actually, i have 168,568 miles for the past 4 months. odo worm gear broke or something, so im not being clocked

20K on engine, 170K on the rest, 4K on new clutch & slave cylinder

pausing on mods for a bit, needs new shocks all around, new 4 rubbers, plugs and wires, oil change next month, and some windshiled washer fluid

114,000 on my '99 Supercab Lariat 4x4, 4.6l. Can't complain so far; plugs, wires, filters, dpfe/ports, and A/C blend door have needed work. Fixed the disappearing odometer at 110,000. If it wasn't for the leaky back glass she'd be almost perfect.

Just broke it this weekend (100452.8) including the return trip. Runs like a champ! I think my girlfriend got PO'ed at me when I started counting down at 5 miles to go! All I could say is "can't wait to be in the 100k club!" lol

Mine had 265,000 on the odometer before it decided to act like a Ford and inexplicably just stop running. The rear main was dumping enough oil I didnt need to change it every 3000 miles, it did it for me. Just change a filter.

Interesting how my GMCs rust away before they stop running and the Fords stop running before they get a chance to rust much.

99 f150, 4.2

Got a 99 f150, had it for 7 years, had to replace alternator, and EVERY rubber/ plastic vacuum line in truck, otherwise it has 190,000 miles, cold a/c, original clutch, and 110,000 miles to go if it keeps getting better than 18 mpg.

My 97 5.4L Reg Cab Flareside is about to turn 240K. The only issue I have had lately is a P0442. There has to be a pinhole somewhere that only flares up occasionally. I went to Autozone and had the code cleared after I put on a locking Gas Cap. It stayed gone for about one month. Not really too much of an issue, though, the truck still runs fine. Just bothers me that it is there...... Body and Paint is still about as perfect as can be. Even if the engine and/or trans quits, I will put in a new or rebuilt unit. This has been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I plan on being the owner until it won't run anymore, or falls apart.
