My 2004 is a little over 135000 on it. General maintance just leads oul from the timing cover I think a lot.

100,000 + club

Today my 2000 Lariat 4WD has 212,431 miles on it. I have had a few issues over the years, but it has been a wonderful truck. I have had a new motor installed at 165,000 miles when a spring broke causing an engine failure.

I keep up on all of the maintainence and enjoy driving it.

Original owner, 2001 5.4l 4x4 supercrew that gets worked hard, 121k and nothing but normal maintenance.

I really hope it goes 200k+ on the stock drivetrain.

Well...My 98 just rolled 190k and untill now other than basic upkeep it has been awesome, still a beautiful truck too. But now its lost compression it seems like, and either a headgasket problem or a cracked head....who knows, any suggestions where i go from here?

222,000

My 1997 F-150 extended cab has 222,000 miles. The only problem was a transmission rebuild at around 200,000 and a couple of tie rod end replacements.

Replace all of the coils, and recharge the A/C.

Might as well change the plugs while in there. Motorcraft plugs, and, do a search for global automotive and you should find the link to the COP's on ebay. 100$ to your door. Can't beat them!

200,000 on 99 F150 5.4L

I just turned over 200K on my truck. I've been using synthetic oil for the life of th truck. First AMSOIL and now Royal Purple. I've had no work whatsoever done to the engine, but it has started to use a little oil.
Been using 5W20. Should I switch to a heavier weight??

Thanks

uses less than 1/2 qt. of oil between changes at 4-5000 mi.

98 4.6 with 222k

I have my 98 with 222k miles and it has run great until the last 6k. I changed plugs, wires, coil packs, air filter, and pcv . Dealership cleaned throttle body and said that I needed an induction service (which they wanted a lot for) and my plug wires were arcing. Is there an easy way to check for which plug/s are arcing? I thought that for the diagnostic that I paid for, they should tell me which plug has the issue. I have been reading post talking about cleaning the MAF. Could that relate to a good cold start that turns very ragged after 15 minutes whenever I climb a hill or have a load on the engine?
