Just rolled 280K on my '97 4.6 XLS F-150... she's a bit ragged on the outside but still runs smoothly and shifts well (good cooler I guess).

My 08 has about 149,000 on her now, @ 143,000 the 5.4 motor took a crap on the interstate - we just bought the truck with about 130,000 miles or so, I've heard issues with the 3v motor AFTER I bought the truck. new ford re-manufactured motor in there now so far, I bought as-is, but the dealership, after some begging did go half on the cost of the new motor.

253k miles on the 2001 F-150 XLT Crew cab.
234k on the 2003 XLT Lariat F-150 Crew cab.
Oil changes, tires, brakes, shocks, tune ups, and new front wheel bearings on the 2001. It also blew a spark plug out many years ago. Fixed it on engine with a TimeSert. (never lost another.)
Just oil changes, a tune up, and tires on the 2003. That 2001...man...what a maintenance hog!
Both 5.4L 2wd.

My '03 Lariat now has 209,000+ miles on it and is running strong. It has developed some minor oil leaks, but drinks only about 1 qt. between changes (5,000 mi) with a "service for life" program. I love her, the best truck I ever had.
