My 97 extended cab 4.6L has 169,000miles and counting. She runs solid with no leaks or squeeks anywhere. I have a Spectre CAI on it's way and I'm thumbing over what to do to change the exhaust. Nothing wrong with both just me being me. I can't leave anything alone...

Nice, I am guessing they are both in great shape. What engine does the 88 have? Is it the 4.9L Straight 6. I still hear old Ford Guys bitching about them doing away with that engine.

200,200 miles and counting

I finally hit 200,000 miles on 1/4/2010! My truck is a 2000 F-150 4 x 4 with the 5.4. I do my own maintenance. My only problem is idling problem when it is colder than 15 degrees. (And yes, I tried every part in the forums on this website. Must have a vacuum leak somewhere.) Otherwise, I love my truck and plan on going for 300,000 miles! By the way, although I am now an attorney with a big firm, I will always be that red neck from Wisconsin, who will drive Ford trucks and only Ford trucks. The problem is...while I would love a new one, this 2000 will not die (or should I say, I wouldn't let it die). Keep them all rolling! Henry would be proud!

My 1999 F150 4.6 extended cab has 145,000. Run like new, uses a little oil between oil changes. Just had my heater core go and I know that's a time consuming job but have to wait for better weather cause working outside.

i have a 93 f150 5.0 4x4 that just hit 205,000 miles on the original motor. tranny and rear end were rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago but the engine is all original and not leaking a single drop of oil.
my dad has a 89 f150 with an inline 6 2wd 5speed that has a little over 325,000 miles. it leaks oil, 4th gear is gone, its blown 3 head gaskets and all he does is add head gasket sealent and it just keeps on going! theres no killing that beast!
