I had a 1963 F-100 that had 283,000 when I bought it. I drove it to 489,000 before I gave it to my dad. I only remember replacing the clutch, shocks and kingpins.

My 04 has just over 107k with no major issues, and my wife's Explorer has 94k on it...

Both are going strong!

2000 f150 5.4 4X4
195K still get 17mpg highway I did have to rebuild the tranny, but then again I never changed the filter. It only had a problem with the overdrive. Changed the plugs at 150K. The ac compressor just recently has gone out though, great truck. I do run HHO(hydrogen/oxygen) in it from time to time.

[QUOTE=HarleyD1;808098]I have a 98 flairside extended cab with 102K on the clock, runs like new. It doesn't burn any oil or leak. I have been useing mobil1 0w30 & 5w30 and motorcraft oil filters since new. I think 200K will be no problem.

See you guys at the 200K club.

I think we need to start a 200K club.
Well seven and a half years later my 98 has 215K with all original running gear. Everything is still the same as it was 100K ago. However, the truck recently developed a minor leak. It's where the oil filter adapter meets the block. Shortly after my original post I stopped using 0/30 because I didn't see any benefit, no increase mpg. Been using amsoil 5/30 & M1 5/30. The transmission has had amsoil universal ATF in it since the 30K mile mark and changed at 50K intervals including the converter, 13qt fill.

See you guys at the 300K club.

Hey guys how r u? Read all the posts very helpful...I own a 2004 f150 FX4 with 285 65R18's on it...Flow master duals from cat back...Thanks for all the posts on squeeking and rattling...will def keep my ears peeled but I have a feeling she's gonna last 200,000 more...She has 87435 now. Completely stock except exhaust...This is my first for truck and very impressed with it so far...Brother's 08 GMC Sierra makes more noise that two skeletons screwing on a tin roof I tell him there's room in the ford family and we won't be mad if he wants to join...

Sad !

fellow F150 owners ,
Am sad to advise my 1999 Ford F150 5.4 litre Dream Machine has slipped a bearing at 320,000klms and equally sadly needed to be brought home on a "Tilt Tray".
"Broke my little 'ol' heart !
Have no option but to purchase a replacement engine as the vehicle is too hard to push around.
Should I go radical and slip in a 5.4 Lighting motor ?
