Need to know how to repin harness to make 1999 4R70W work in a 1997 truck

I keep reading a lot of places people saying a 4.6 ECU won't work properly for a 5.4 and visa versa. I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and can assure you I have done a LOT for these swaps and the computer has no idea the displacement of the engine, people saying the fuel trims are different are mistaken, fuel trims are pretty much universal for stock NA vehicles, only when boosting or trying to run a high compression would you want your trims on the richer side to prevent detonation. I've swapped dozens from 4.6 to 5.4 and a few the other way around. No CEL or issues of any type provided the ECU and sensors are functioning as designed.

The 97 4R70W uses the older pre-97 electronics connector but has the 4.6/5.4L bolt pattern.
In 98 and up to 2000, they switched the electrical connectors a bit but I'm pretty sure the internals should still be the same. After 98, they changed the VSS style, but if you've got a 4x4 that's in the transfer case anyway. After 2000, the electrical setup is a little different internally along with the connector...I'm pretty sure I seen a few posts here where someone did swap an 01-04 tranny into a 98 or 99 but I can't find the post at the moment.
So for a '97 it's pretty much a one-year only oddball. I found that out this past summer on my own truck.

I need to repin info I put in my 1998 4.6 L V8 Ford F-150 Lariat I put a 2004 5.4 liter transmission on the 98th and it's not acting right please send me repin information if that's all it is

That's a lot more than a repin. In 2004 they changed the output speed sensor shaft.

Why are the speed sensor plugs different? My 2002 F-150 supercrew transmission blew so I got a new one out off a identical 2001 everything is the same options everything but the speed sensor plugs are different so I swapped out the sensors. Is this going to be a problem?
I recently swapped a 96. 4r70w into my 98' had to swap out the solenoids and wiring bulkhead because I have the plastics harness version overall was an easy swap. Also the transmission I got from the junkyard was a 2wd and my truck is 4wd so I had to swap the tail shafts and rear extensions pieces.
Need help with my truck, I'm not sure if it's a 4R70 or 75, but I found out it's a 4L3P. It's a 2005 XLT 4WD, Supercab, 6-foot box. I have no forward gears. First comment, I was making a post but it disappeared :/
leaking fluid, I believe from the transmission cooler next to the radiator. I was suggested the forward bands are gone/blown, and it's easier to swap than to repair.. issue is, no transmission I can find is a 4L3P, and I'm not sure if either the 3L3P or 5L3P are interchangeable or compatible swaps with my truck...
Anyone help please?
