I'm chill. Just ask yourself before you post something like that if it's necessary or your just gonna come off looking like a ****.

You could have asked why or what not about the reasoning behind doing it but talking out your *** about the 4x4 not working etc isn't needed.

And for 95% of people that get a 4x4 hardly ever go offroad and up north it's a neccessity for during the winter but the height isn't always wanted

totally agree, i barely fit in a 6'-8" garage i wouldn't risk it any lower and I'm stock 4wd hieght....to the guy that lives out in the swamp hating on lowered 4x4's....here in Miami a lowered 4x4 is common when pulling a boat, it's all for the traction on the ramp. couple of my buddies have lowered trucks including a crewcab superduty, O and just a reminder we are in 2011 cut that hatin' crap out theirs plenty of uniqueness on this site, making it the BEST f150 forum out there

Eric has stated that he didn't get to choose his truck. He is a boy from the city that doesn't want to be like everyone and build a mall crawler or lifted street queen. Therefore he went the other way which isn't as common. So he had to work with what he's got.

If I had a 4x4, it would be lifted, because I lived in an area where I could use and enjoy it.

Not trying to bite your head off man, just stating it from another perspective.

Mine's an urban machine, and even with the drop, I've been in garages that have been scary close to the roof. 4x4 works fine when needed b.t.w.

well where i live there is not downtown parking garage and we don't have many lowered trucks. 95% of the trucks are lifted. and talking out of my *** is not something i was doing but when you own a 4x4 shop you don't get people coming to you asking to lower there 4x4 at least not here. and i use my 4x4 quite regularly because in florida we don't have winter so it mudding and off roading year round

Then why come in ranting about people lowering 4x4's? Should look at it as an opportunity of research incase you get an oddball coming in wanting to lower his 4x4. Now you've made an *** of yourself, and those who have done it may not have any input for you if you ran into this and needed any kind of info.

on a side note.
Wish i had lowered my 4x4 in a way. oh well. got the 2wd for that.

well i will never lower a 4x4 in my shop sorry not being an *** but my buddy does that at his shop. i have lowered trucks before so that's not a problem. as far as taking your 40,000 dollar truck off road can't say i blame u there at all. but i'm not gonna keep arguing over this because this is a forum and there is no need to butt heads with anyone. wish u best of luck and hope you see my work at some shows in your hometown. It's all good.

What are forums for if any can't blow off a little steam?

I think it's safe to say, with my dropped 4x4, i've been in a TON of situations where i'm in the mud and nasty, wet, full of potholes and sinkholes at pipe yards with over 800lbs of pipe or flanges in the bed as well. i may creep a little bit slower then a regular truck might, but i still get the job done. also, 4x4 is still FULLY FUNCTIONAL as well. I use it about once a month just to be sure it works and is capable in case i ever need it.
