Reel or RP,
To turn the gain down on the sub left or right? I just bought one (used) it came with all the wiring needed but no installation or manual of any kind.
Thanks

RDB -

I think it is clockwise to turn it up, just like a volume ****. I'm not positive though. Either way just do this, before permanently mounting it, do like I said in the instructions and power it up with everythig loose and free to move around. Then you can set it the way you want. Remember to turn the bass on the HU to the zero position.

Now, I will say this from my personal experience - I have my sub turned all the way DOWN! As in, as low as it will go and it is plenty boomy.. Just a click or two increase in the bass on the HU and it is flat out thumpin. Now, it's not like a zit covered teen ricer with fart pipes and system jammin gangsta rap kinda thumpin loud, but it is enough to really rattle the mirrors and it will seem like a lot in the cab.

Later,
Chris

Post up how it goes!

REEL,
Your instructions worked great Took me a little over an hour but i spent extra time on the bottom of the sub, tryin to get it as clean a look as possible. I don't know why because you can't see it now LOL. But everything else went right as you said. Thanks for the details, thats what makes this forum such a bada** place.

Thanks
Rob

Anybody figure out how to adjust the 'gain' on the sub? I'm, somewhat, disappointed right now... I'd like more 'oompah'.

Also, any other tips available on getting the grounding correct? I'd like to be able to switch over to traffic on FM occasionally but, with the sub, I'm unable to do such a thing because of static.

Yeah... thanks Mike....

You had given me that link earlier and it looks like it's dead on with how to do it... I guess I'm fishing for any additional information that might be helpful.

Now that everyone has installed the Clarion subwoofer. I'll suggest going out and buying the new MTX box which is made for the Screw. Crutch has them in stock. They match, they fit, and they BLOW AWAY the Clarion unit, bigtime. Two or three times as much base out of it.

Having both is really nice.

Yeah, but can can you still fold the back seat down? That has always been the downside of any rear under seat box in the screw is that the seat becomes stuck in the "up" position.

Sounds cool though!
