Supercrew:
Same here for the 11 week wait!!!!! Ordered mine on 1/29/00 and have a delivery date to dealer by April 20.
I saw you have a blue/silver combo while mine is just solid wedgewood blue. Have similar build dates so i guess ours were built around the same time.
It's about time they started to make some blue supercrews, havn't seen one yet!!!
The wait is almost over.
SORRY DOUBLE POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHOCMAN,
I've seen both a solid blue (Princeton Ford) and a blue/silver two-tone(McCafferty Ford @ Langhorne PA), so I know the're making them. I've got an appointment for the Line-X on April 29th, so.....I hope the truck gets here early.

I took posession of my 01 SC 4x4 today, and the wait was worth it. Here are my stats: ordered 7 Mar 00, built 4 April 00, delivered 10 April 00. The only thing I will change is the "cab steps" ie cheap running boards. I thought they would be the tube style like the expy. The dealer is going to swap them out for "real" cab steps this week. I love the truck, its great!! The 5.4L has plenty of power and boy does it sit up high! Good luck to you all in getting your trucks.

Yetiman,
did you happen to get the 17in. 10 spoke wheels? or the moonroof? We almost have the same truck. Do you love that "BRIGHT RED" or what?!!! We have had our truck for about a week and a half and have put about 600 miles on it. Drove it to Las Vegas to the drag races last weekend and it was the sharpest truck in the lot.

Crewchief,

Yeah I really like the Red it is sharp. When I ordered it I got it with just the basic wheels and tires because I'm putting some Weld wheels and 285x75x16 tires on it.

So far I really like it, but I only have 36 miles on it so I need some more seat time. I didn't get the moon roof.

I'm gonna go to the coast this weekend so I'll get some quality time in the truck this weekend.

I previously had the 4.6 in my supercab and I now have the 5.4 in the supercrew man what a difference. I don't know what I was thinking the first time around.

SuperCrew,
never heard "bucked" before and I'm curious to know what it means. Can anyone that has already taken delivery help SuperCrew out with this one?

I believe that "bucked" means the body has been assembled and/or painted, and will shortly be on its' way down the line to be joined with the powertrain, seats, etc.

Wink

Confirming what I have long believed about Missourians, my truck has now been "released by the foreign assembly plant." This is worse than waiting for Christmas as a child.

I GOT MINE TODAY!! Deep Wedgewood Blue, 4x4, 17" tires and 10 spoke wheels. It looks great! Especially compared to my 91 Ranger I was driving. It sure is a step up. My wife, neighbors and fishing buddies are impressed! It rides great.

I ordered mine on February 25. Yesterday the dealer informed me that my build date is May 1st with a delivery date of May 15th.

Getting this information from my dealer was like getting performance from a Chevy. I had called last Friday to get status, my salesman wasn't available. I asked for a sales manager since my sales rep would just go ask a manager anyway. The manager comes on the phone, says he's not sure if he's reading the print out correctly, but it looks like my truck was built on March 21st. He asks me to call back the next day, Saturday, when "the lady who knows how to read these things will be here". I call on Saturday, ask for the same manager. He puts me on hold for 15 minutes and then the line goes dead. I called back and asked for my salesrep. He comes on the line and says that "the lady who knows how to ready these things isn't here today". He says she'll be in on Monday. I ask if he'll personally see to it that someone calls me Monday with the order status of my truck. He says he'll personally take care of calling me. Which, to his credit, he did on Monday morning.

Getting status on a vehicle order shouldn't be so hard. First off, if Ford would create orders that read in English instead of the language Chewbacca from Star Wars uses, the dealers would be able to tell me what's going on. Also, if Ford could just create a web site that would allow dealers and customers to track their orders (again, in English - the forgotten language)it would save the dealers a lot of phone calls from us information starved SuperCrew lunatics.

Just my two cents, thanks for letting me rant.

-Mike
