I posted this on another thread a week ago, but it seems like the reasons for the SuperCrew delivery delays never stop. If we haven't heard from you yet, now's your chance! Vote for one or more. (BTW the A/V system and Bed extender don't count because Ford & the SCrew brochure say these are "late availability" items. The other reasons given so far in this & other threads are:
1. Moonroof
2. Two-tone paint
3. Plastic rear fenders
4. Adjustable accel./brake pedals
5. 5.4L engines.
6. Air for the tires.
7. Other_____________(Start a new rumor)

BTW, apparently the bed extender is now available. So if you have received your truck or seen one with a factory mounted bed extender, lets hear from you too.

My order included the bed extender and 2-tone paint, but no moonroof. My dealer talked with VOPC earlier this week, and was told delay was for 2-tone paint on Lariat's (that's my vote). BTW - is the top 3 accessory option available yet? If so, I want to add it to the order.

SuperCrew:
The top 3 acc pkg is the cab steps, bug deflector and bedliner. It's listed in the dealer's order book, and is (will be) available as a factory option, the same as it is on the other 150's.

Way back we had surprise twins - what do think the chances are again?!? Maybe I should choose two colors just in case.

 

What is VOPC? Is there a phone number or internet site that we can access to find out the build/delivery status without going to the dealer?

My baby was born on Feb 20th.
My baby is SUPPOSED to be delivered on Apr 3rd.

2001 2x4 SuperCrew Lariat, Bright Red/Silver Frost, 5.4L, 3.55 limited slip, moonroof, tow package,6-disk CD changer, lower two-tone.

 

Skyjet, we have the same build and delivery dates. I'm hopeful it will be close to that delivery date but I'm not gonna hold my breath. (really I hope its going to be sooner)

 

I could not get a status on the VOPC line tonight. Is anyone else having this problem?

VOPC is Ford's Vehicle Order Processing Center. Phone 1-800-962-3746; You'll need the dealer code and VIN from your order. If no VIN, you'll need the Model Year (2001), Model (9108 for 4x4 SCrew), and Order #.

VOPC says our truck has been shipped by "vehicle convoy carrier". Is that by truck? or what?

I tried using the VOPC and I think I am doing everything ok.I cant get a date though and I was wondering if the body style codes you listed are just for the supercrew?.If so do you or anyone else know the body style code for the truck I am ordering which is a 2000 2wd 6.5 ft box extracab.

plraf: There is another thread in the supercrew section explaining the vopc automated line - you'll need the dealer code, order number, body style and model year.
Supercrew: Tried the vopc line today, and it worked, but hadn't been updated since March 17.

 

A quick note on the top 3 accessory package - it costs me less to order the bug deflector and bedliner direct from the dealer and the cab steps from the factory, than the top 3 accessory package direct from the factory. Might be worth checking if anyone is considering this option. Dealer said it had something to do with the dealer markup on these options.

Yes, the body style codes I listed are only for the Supercrew. W08 (9108 on the touch tone phone) is for the 4WD, W07 (9107) is the 2WD. Get the body style code from your DORA.

What is DORA? The VOPC line mentions an online system called "Concepts". What is it?
Also, how do I decode the VIN?
