Mine was on rail 5/23, and I was driving it on 5/31, 8 days later. I am in Southern Indiana, so you could figure maybe 14 days?

My original scheduled delivery date was week of 6/5, so it did get to me a full week ahead of schedule!

Got a great B-Day present today - the truck was in. Ordered 04/25, arrived 06/08, picked up 06/09. We went to the dealer to look around and when I asked where my truck was, saleswoman checked and said out back. Picked it up this afternoon. Only drawback is a small paint blemish that needs to be fixed. Paid $455.00 under invoice and ending today, was a 2000 miles worth of gas special. So the dealership cut me a check for $221.00. Amazing how a dealer in Green Bay, WI is the 8th largest truck dealer in the country.

S-Crew, Lariat with everything exept two-tone, slider, and eng. block heater.

Question

Everyone keeps talking about calling and checking priority numbers, the progress of their trucks, etc. My question is what phone number are you using to call? Is there a special number for ordered vehicles, or is it the standard Ford Customer Relations number? Any input is greatly appreciated.

stuka88,

Read LRM's post on page 1, explains the whole deal. You will need your dealer # and order #. I called the dealer and told him I needed the numbers or I would call him every day... he gave me the numbers. This system works well and I used it to track my truck which arrived Friday.

Whoohoo! Your truck was built and shipped on the same days as mine! Maybe mine will show up this week too! The dealer tells me ETA is around the 6/26...I was hoping for an early arrival next week, but after your post...maybe there's hope for this week!

Wait...yours was shipped via convoy carrier? The VOPC said mine was shipped via rail carrier. Hmmm...that probably will make a difference. Do you know why yours was shipped via convoy carrier?

UPDATE:
Ordered: May 2, Built May 30
Arrival date scheduled: wk of June 19
Actual arrival: June 12 (!)

I'll be at the dealer first thing 6/15 to enjoy my new SuperCrew. I've been seeing a white Lariat commuting on NB 880 in Fremont this week, and have been anxiously awaiting my chance to pick mine up. Bummed that the nearest LineX dealer is 60 miles away in Martinez, CA...

Robnbuf-

Not sure why mine was shipped by convoy carrier. I expected mine by rail, as it is a common mode of shipping to my dealer. Usually rail is cheaper for a long distance and I suspect that it is Fords preferred method of shipment. Sometimes however, rail cars are not available without a delay so my guess is that Ford uses both based on cost and availability.

It was pretty exciting to pull onto the lot and see my crew sitting right out front waiting for me. The dealer was great. All the paperwork was completed in advance. About 15 signatures and the paperwork was done. They spent about 30 minutes going over the features in detail and checking the truck out for problems. Then I was on the road. Got plenty of looks on the freeway as crews are still few and far between in Los Angeles. I love the silver color. It looks really sharp. My line-x dealer came to my house this morning and picked up my crew to spray the bed and when I get home from work it be sitting there all done.

Good luck on your delivery date. It seems a lot of people are getting delivery ahead of schedule and hopefully you will too. Keep in mind that you probably won't be able to sleep the night before you get it! Best of luck!!!

Wow this is a long thread! Kind of cool though--

Good news! I called the VOPC last night and found out that "as of 6/17 my vehicle has arrived at the ramp"!!!

I called the dealer this morning and she confirmed it and put a *hot* request in to get it delivered ahead of the standard stock trucks. She said it will probably be a couple more days...ARGGGHH!

I called the Line-X dealer to warn him that I'd probably be coming by this week sometime. I already picked up my Lund Trident bug deflector ($62 at GIJoes). And the Access Roll Cover is on order and should be here early next week!

Digital camera should be arriving any day now (no I didn't order this just for the truck...we've wanted one for a while now), so I'll be sure to post some pics.

Here we go...

In regards to the VOPC automated system, every time that I call the dealer code won't work for me. My dealer code is 52H768, for which I enter 5242768 (the 42 for H). However, it never works and I think that I heard that you need a decoder or something to get the right code to work here. I have my VIN and everything, so the dealer code is the only hang-up right now. Any input that y'all have is greatly appreciated.

I tried deleting the H from my order number and just inserting numbers and it worked just fine. The latest word is that my truck is at the ramp and off of the rail. That means that it's in Houston right now, only 90 miles or so from College Station/Bryan. Come on guys, get it up here ASAP!
