Jscharton,
I think it may have to do with the priority number on the order itself. Mine was 10. There is another member who has been waiting a very long time. He said his priority number was 40!!! Don't know how they determine a priority number but they do seem to differ and affect how long you wait for your truck to be built. Hope this helps.

I've been calling the VOPC number off and on since I ordered my truck and up until recently it has just said that my truck was "clean and unscheduled".

Yesterday I called and it said that as of 5/11 my truck had been "serialized and was awaiting a schedule date and ETA".

Just for fun, I called again this morning and the message said that as of 5/11 my truck was in a "temporary delay status in production".

Just wondering if anybody has heard of that message before?

I sure like having the VOPC number since it saves me from having to bug the dealer all the time...oh ya, did I say that I was waiting patiently...

FYI:
Ordered Feb/28
Locked in April 10
Bucked April 19
Built April 26(VOPC says week of April 24th)
On the train April 27
Scheduled to be delivered week of May 15, but the dealer tells me this is a worst case senario, and it should be here sooner than that.
April 29 - Arrived at ramp!!!!(Buffalo or Detroit or Windsor?)
May 5 - Shipped by convoy carrier, according to VOPC.
May 10 - Still not at Dealer - St. Marys Ford, St. Marys Ontario, halfway between Windsor and Toronto. Am driving past dealership 2-3 times a day. (It was easier waiting for our kids to be born!)
MAY 11 - 11:30 PM - IT ARRIVED!!!!!!!!
My wife was coming back from work and saw a truck unloading at the dealership - I was there just after midnight and there it was!!!!
It's a green and gold two tone Lariat with all options except captain's chairs and the entertainment system. Picked it up at 6pm Friday. Towed my trailer (25' Mallard) and it was almost like it wasn't there.
3 minor complaints: 1) Why can't the fan be turned off without the vent closing? 2)The diagnostic hook up is where I wanted the controller to go, so it's now to the left of the steering wheel, but quite far back. They should have a better location for it. 3) It came with quite a few dirt marks on the interior.
However, it's a great vehicle, and the green and gold is a terrific combo.
Just for fun I checked VOPC and it stills says that it was shipped May 5.

PS: The cupholders are on the back of the front seat.

robnbuf,

I had the same experience this past week. I was thrilled when I called this past Friday, May 12, and was informed that my order was finally "serialized and awaiting ETA". However, I called again over the weekend, just to hear the wonderful news again, only to be told that my order is "in temporary delay status in production".Called my dealer who said that there's a problem with 5.4 L engine availability that will hopefully be resolved shortly. Arrgh!

Planned Mods: Retrax Retractable Bed Cover, Line-X Sprayed-On Bedliner, Lund Trident Bug Deflector, K&N F.I.P.K.

I think it is almost here. Ordered March 2nd, built May 1st, delivery May 22nd, I hope. The dealer told me today my SuperCrew is on the last leg from Chicago north. It could arrive Saturday but will have to sit until Tuesday before prep. because of the long weekend. I will lose another half day as I am changing the tires to Michelin LTX M\S asap, as I like them on my present truck. Good in water and snow. Mine is Toreador Red,with Harvest gold, 4x4, power-40/60 splt bench, XLT, 5.4,cab steps, skid plates, sliding rr wdo, trailer tow, remote keyless, cargo cage, Alum.wheels, 245/75/16's, 6 disk cd. It really is going to be a long weekend.

Picked up my SC last Friday - GREAT Vehicle, but huge compared to my old Explorer - it will take a while getting used to parking it. At least I have another week to practice before my topper comes in and forces me to use the mirrors! Unfortunately the curved bed makes it hard to see the end of the truck.
For those following their progress on the VOPC, I checked on mine today, and it's listed as having been delivered to the "designated destination" as of May 12th. It will be interesting to see how long it stays in the system for.

Ordered March 29. Serialized May 11. Scheduled build date is the week of June 5. Based on what you guys are saying, I guess I can expect delivery in California around the 3rd or 4th week of June. Sigh . . . over 12 weeks of waiting! Guess I still have time to clean out the ol' garage to make room for my new baby

Cool

It all started last week when I was browsing thru the latest articles at carpoint. I wasn't anticipating the purchase of a new truck, I was just as my wife says, "window shopping". Although it started out innocent like, I quickly decided that the 97 F150 4x4 super cab that we currently own was too small for our growing family of 4. What a hassle it was to load the kids in using that small 3rd door on the passenger side. Well, I ever so discreetly wisked the family away to the local Dealer and drooled. Later that night I punched up F150online and read your messages all night long.
We decided that the dealer didn't have the right combination of options we wanted so we ordered one.
I just placed my order two days ago, on Monday, May 15th. I'm Joansen already just from reading all of your messages.

Here is my baby:
2001 SuperCrew, 4x4 Lariat, 3.55LS, Black, 5.4L, Moonroof, Bed Ext, Graphite Int, Towing Pkg, skid plates, sliding window and of course for our freezing winters a Block Htr.

Invoice $30060.00 W/ 3% markup

Planned mods so far are:
Painted bug guard and moon visor, Spray in bedliner and superchip.
