Order date
Crewchief:
So, what did you order and when did you order it? Build date of March 20 and delivery for April 3? So...you placed your order on...February 1st? I placed mine on February 25...so all things being equal(which they never are), I'm trying to think when mine might be built.
Hey, how does that medicine work? I could really use some. I've ordered cars before but I've never had the anticipation like I do for this SuperCrew.

LRM,
You're a hero! The VOPC just gave me info the dealer hasn't been able to for the last month. It says my truck will be built the week of April 10th. (4 + 2 weeks for delivery = April 28th +/-. That seems like a long way off.)What was curious, VOPC said that this information was "as of March 7th".
I have stopped in the dealer twice since March 7th and looked at his latest order status sheet. Neither time did it have a build date. Hmm....
Has anyone else compared the VOPC info. to the dealer information? Lets hear from you.

Mazilis,
we placed our order Jan. 17. Then it just sat there doing nothing for five weeks because of the bed extender not being available yet. So we had the dealer drop it from the order and it moved into the production line-up.
Oh yeah I almost forgot...Bright Red 5.4L 4x4 XLT w/skid plates, 3:55ls, 17" 10 spoke aluminum wheels w/AT's (probably Goodyear) towing/cooling/heavyduty electrical package, rear sliding window, moonroof, remote keyless entry, dark graphite interior with 60/40 split front bench, single cd stereo (wife is planning her own sound/entertainment/computer network for truck)and lets not forget a bed extender that dealer will supply later.

SuperCrew,
You need to "get a life" :-) (and I need to learn how to put the little smiley face in here)
Crewchief,
Saw your truck with a medium graphite and no moonroof. I'm not a red dude, but, the SuperCrew could convert me. Sharp ride!

SuperCrew:
Glad to be of assistance. I'm in the same boat as you. Dealer can tell me nothing. I can only hope the VOPC info is correct.
However, and I know this sounds sick, I wouldn't mind a two or three week delay. I was planning on exercising some of my stock options, set a price level of $47 at which point (after the government rapes me for 43% taxes) the shares I am willing to exercise now would have completely paid for the truck. What happens? The stock hits $44 and I am smiling. Next day it drops to $34 and with the continued pounding of the Nasdaq it hit a low of $26.5 yesterday. Today it's back up to $31 and maybe there is hope again. Traditionally, April is a good month for our stock price as it follows closely on the heels of our major product and marketing announcemnts which come out the last week of March.
I'll take the truck when I get it (duh!), but, I can't afford to drive it anyway with these ridiculous gas prices. Of course, everytime I go to Europe or South America, I get no sympathy. My business colleagues think we're all whiners anyway given the gasoline prices they pay. It's all relative, but, that doesn't prevent me from being ticked off by the current situation

One should be careful about one's wishes. After posting the above, I called the VOPC again just for grins to see if it had been updated. My truck, previously scheduled to be built the week of April 3, is now scheduled to be built the week of April 10. Obviously, being scheduled means nothing. It's only after it is actually built that one can begin earnest anticipation.
LRM-
to bad about the switch in dates!!
Also a note of thanks. Finally got all the way through the menu without an automated transfer to a live person!! Dealer said a build date of 13 March, VPOC said two days ago, unit left via rail. Previously dealer said near three for delivery once built. Train must make about 50 stops to take 2 weeks or more to get to the east coast. Either that or the truck carriers are on strike!! Luckily my sliding top for the crew should be in at the end of next week.
BTW- S'crew ordered 1 Feb.
Curious: anyone have an opinion on the wood dash kits????/ Only thought about the radio surround, the 4 door controls and a piece on the center console. Not sure yet.
Opinions???

Hey F150Supercrew! Last night my wife and I were sitting here reading some of the posts and she says "Hey honey why dont you register a domain name for a website for the truck?" So now I got "f150supercrew.com" and "mysupercrew.com". There is nothing there at either site yet but give me a couple of weeks and I'll get something up. I think I'll use "my supercrew" for my personal page and "f150supercrew" to post pics of all our trucks, "supercrews exclusively". It wont be an active site like our beloved F150online just a photo album of our trucks. I'll post about it when I get something up.

Great idea. Some of us won't see our trucks for another month or more and K9 needs a "SuperCrew fix" every day.

I placed my order with Folsom Lake Ford on 2/29. Last week my dealer said the truck is scheduled 4/7 with delivery 4/27. I ordered a Lariat 4x2, Amazon Green/Parchment, Captains chairs, moon roof, 3.55LS, rear sliding window, and tow package. And yes I too wish Nasdaq would rebound to pay for it.
At least the trade in value for my 1997 F150 Supercab helps...

To F150SuperCrew:
I saw the pic of the wood dash trim in the SCrew brochure and I must admit it is tempting. I've always been a bit shy about having dealer installed options put in my truck though. I'd sure like to see some expanded or "real life" pic's of a SCrew with the dash trim done. Let me know if you come across any or if anyone on the board decides to have it put in.
Thanks!

Recieved an order confirmation in the mail! Finally. Although not stressing over the "build date", the delivery date is 5 May.
And I have a VIN.
Ordered on 25 Jan. Yes, this is extremely long. Haven't been thrilled with the delay, however, was a more economical choice than these California dealers.

Your the luckiest one of all. Other than the silver frost and rims, your truck is at

Best article to date on the web that I've seen. Enjoy!
P.S. Amazon Green is the only color I haven't seen. The Chestnuts seem to be most plentiful, followed by the White.
