Nothing yet, Though I had the past two weekends with some good weather, I had other things that got priority. Catching up on things due to rainy weekends and hunting....
OK, finally was able to do some more testing. Moved the crank shaft to about 20°, move the crank till the distributor started to turn. Check the crank shaft marking, it was about 12° to 10°, did it a couple of time.
Pulled plug #1 and moved the crank shaft to about 20°. Put a long screw driver in the hole and moved the crank shaft till it peak. It was off about 8° - 10° about from 0° on the crank shaft mark.
So I am in the process of getting the parts/tools to replace the timing chain and gear. Here is the engine before and during cleaning, still cleaning a few more areas. Also notice the smog pump had no pulley and would not turn, will see about deleting it. While I have it broken down, will see about replacing other parts, like the water pump. Just in case....
The fan was marked with what looks to me "1986 Mustang". Not sure if that what the engine was, or just the fan.... Nothing like finding new things as you fix other things....
Timing gear and chain replaced. Had 2 bolt break on removing the water pump (replacing while I was in there) so had to get a new timing cover. Also replaced the harmonic balancer, it was in bad shape. Put it back together, just enough to see if it would crank. IT CRANKED! Ran rough, adjust timing and ran great, turned off to make sure not to over heat. Removed the battery to do some cleaning under it, and now it is not cranking again. This time, to fuel or pressure on the fuel rail. Also no codes, not even the checking process/sequence is working. Fuel pump is new and computer is new....
Here is an updated image of the engine, after a little more cleaning and painting....
I did check fuses there not an inline one on the pump relay (that I could find) and no fuse blown under the dash. Also, I hear the pump (pressure) run for a second, but still had no pressure on fuel rails. On the starter solenoid, attached to the fender, the pump would stop and start as I remove and attache back the small power wire from the ignition.
you can check the fuel pump relay, it should be located on your f150 between the air filter box and the master cyl. look for corroded connections/broken wire and output voltage. I'm very happy for you that some positive progress has happened. Will it fire off and try to tun with starter fluid now?

Relays are new, I also tried with the old relay. When the relays were out, I jumped the Yellow and brown wire on the relay to see if the pump would run, did not..
I have not tried starter fluid, ran out. Was also going to see about getting a spay bottle and fill it with gas to spray into the intake. Do not want to use to much starting fluid on it...
you could try disconnecting the wires from the inline pump and use a set of wires to jump 12 volts to the inline pump to make sure it is working. I also have a small 12 volt light attached to several feet of wire that I attach to my fuel pump wires when I'm troubleshooting fuel pump problems, I can lay it down outside the truck and visually see the momentary lighting up when the ignition is turned on, or not light up, indicating power or lack of it.
If the engine isn't running the fuel pump is only supposed to run momentarily and according to what you said it is doing just that. Pump is running but no pressure. Sounds like a bad pump to me.

The pump is still under warranty and I check and O'Reilly's will replace it, and they have it in stock...Just have to get up under the truck and remove it.
Fuel pump replace and it is not running. I am getting the computer in today to try that since it is not giving any codes, or going through the checking sequences. Also, tying to find the location of the inertia cut-off switch and see if that might be the problem.
Happy to say that IT IS ALIVE!!! The final problem I was a ground problem. Previous owner had it hooked to the ground battery terminal by exposed wire and the negative cable holding it on by friction between the cable and battery post. When I removed the battery to clean, paint the rusted battery holder, and install new light, I wound up putting it on the Positive terminal (Yes I called myself a dumb ***). Added a connector end and now it is correctly attached to the ground cable....
I did a new code test and get a 34 (EGR) and it runs rough when the EGR vacuum line is connected. I'm running it with the EGR vacuum line removed and plugged. Run smooth and better than it did before. Will fix it, but need to recover from the other $$$$$ I have already spent....
Now to see about the AC/Fan problem. Will check the forum first and start new post if needed.
