2010 fans and spal
Glad you're feeling better
Just did a quick search on autozone:
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=600718_0_0_
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=296830_0_0_
are these the correct parts?
part number on the disconnects is 85452, not 85552, any difference or a type?
I would need 2 dorman connections for the fans and four quick disconnects?
Thanks again!

The disconnect you used were 16-14 gauge and .250 which are the exact specs of the 85452/85552 so ill see how it all works out. It says its a 20 pack but ill double check when i get to autozone, could possible have everything i need for 9 bucks and some change after tax
thanks for all the help!
thanks for all the help!
for the bottom clips for the fans, i know you made a set of your own but any idea where to get the same clubs, i dont really want to punch any holes into the radiator with specific mounting kits, unless that's a decent option
Sam- page one is where the clip is, went to the local autozone to see if they might possible have something similar to this setup, instead of going through the trouble of making my own bracket, pretty time limited working two jobs and going to school full time, he did pull out a fan mounting kit, sort of like troyers. I have the DC Controls FK50P controller
DM- awesome, thanks again!

underdrive water pump ?????????
Digital mentioned earlier using the underdrive water pump for the ac connection, which wire is this?
Which wires are we connecting to for the auxiliary and ac?

Thanks. Let me know what you find. I know there's a wire bundle in front of the PCM and the fuse box located in the cab under the glove box and a small electrical box right by the intake
Let me know what you find. I'm having to run a 1.5ks filter from dc control to get both fans to run properly other than that it moves a ton of air, even one fan is enough to keep the truck under 196 consistently. Only seen temps at 198 once while under heavy load in traffic with a/c on

Ill check it out when I get a chance, probably tomorrow morning
Just a quick note, I didn't have to make the bottom tabs, my fan sits pretty secure with little to no movement, but all i did was some minor trimming to the tab, not complete removal.
Fan went in diagonally, drivers side first, had to pull back on the abs unit a bit to squeeze it in there, managed to bolt up BOTH holes to the original mounting holes with a little bit of pushing and pulling, id suggest getting a bolt in the mounting holes backwards.
- go through the radiator mounting hole first so that you mount the fan over the body of the bolt, and then use a couple of nuts to tighten it down. Prevents puncturing a hole in the radiator.
The fan took some minor trimming as it rubbed against the abs pump but does not interfere with the blades at all
The hardest part was removing the mechanical fan with the crappy autozone tools they supplied but after some thought, some elbow and spirit, we got the bolt loose.
Wiring, I would recommend getting another set of 10 gauge from autozone, or better yet from dccontrols in their accessories section, just another safety precaution.
Some of you may have to run his 1.5k filter, there is a process to find this and you will know because one of your fans works, with the filter, both will work.
These fans really move some ridiculous air, even one fan is efficient enough to cool the truck to temperatures no more than 198. I'm seeing 192-196 all day long in the vegas weather, stop and go and highway.
The truck really gets up and goes, my friend took it for a spin, smoked an escalade that tried to race him, then I had realized that it was on the stock tune, not the 87 it had been running on, then we took it for a spin. I can REALLY light the tires up now, but there's less effort to get the truck moving, mileage increase, power increase, the fiance mentioned the increase in torque, we can especially notice it in 2nd gear.
Traveled 86 miles so far and only burned an 8th of a tank. That's 80% city, had it up to 16.2 mpg on the gryphon but several stop and go traffic scenarios along with extended idling, the fans run and keep the truck cool;thankfully, and the heavy right foot, im satisfied.
Also, I would recommend getting the 10-12 gauge spade terminals, much better!
