2010 fans and spal
Im right there with you. The only thing i really care for of the 2010 truck is the 6spd transmission, updated headlights, new interior, tow mirrors, badges, electric fans...oh wait pretty much the whole truck!
But i would rather have something fabbed up like some brackets instead of punching holes through the radiator, then having to deal with rubbing, vibrations etc and then needing a new radiator.
So if anyone has a detailed write up on the 2010 fans and one of the nbs trucks please let us know in the how to section!

I talked to the tech guy over at spal and he said two things about these fans could cause a problem, the amps and the brush/brushless design of the fan could turn into headache with the spal controller.
Until we find a spec sheet on these fans he can't recommend using them and or if someone wants to be the test dummy and see if it works...

I think the biggest hurdle for us 04 thru 08 guys and gals is to figure out the mounting situation of these fans...The controller issue is rather mute as a DC Controller will control these fans just fine, especially the FK85P version
Well once the mounting situation is sorted there should be a detailed write up. I would love to have electric fans on my truck and my decision is hinging on whether or not the 2010 electric fans will mount up and if so with what modifications.
I have a detailed write-up earlier in the thread (I'm the first one to try this mod on a 2004-2008). Used a DC controller. No pictures right now, the truck is on a trailer with a cover right now, getting ready to take it to a paint shop, but I can take pictures in a few days.
You stated in a previous post you had your own procedure and pictures as to mount the fans and run them with a DCC FK50P. Any idea when that will be up for viewing? I just ordered a controller and deciding on whether to get the Mark VIII fan or the 2010 electric fans.
What are the parts you all used for the kit, you mentioned clips similar to the ones troyer uses in his, would I be safe buying his fan mounting kit and mounting the fans that way?
As for the weather stripping, where did you get it from, length, brand, etc?
cheers!
So, has anyone gotten any sort of response from DCControls lately? I ordered and paid for a controller on July 7th, and have not received any email since the PayPal receipt. I sent them a message a week or so ago to check on the status and they haven't bothered to reply. I understand if they have a backlog of orders, but at least reply and tell me that. Their website still shows 7-10 days lead time.
