12v+/0: needs to be connected to Pin 1 (White/Lt. Blue - 18ga)
Ground: to Pin 6 (White - 18ga)
RCA Center Pin: Pin 4 (Red/Yellow - 18ga)
RCA Outside Pin: Pin 5 (Black/Yellow - 18ga)
Well I got my camera in today and to my surprise the wire colors don't match the colors for the harness based on the connector viewer. The colors are two solid white wires (#4 and #5) both are 18 Gauge wires. 2 wires are black (#2 and #6) both are 20 gauge. Then #1 wire is red and the #3 is Blue. This is where I'm having trouble because the wires coming from the camera are one black and one solid copper wire. Well these two wires were cut and attached to two black wires one running to the #2 Pin and the other to the #6 pin, (See Pictures below) but they weren't individually attached to one another they were pressed together with a steel cap. Now my dilemma is which wire goes to which, Since this camera's wire doesn't match with the connector diagram. Leave it to Ford to confuse me.I just need to know which wires which so that I can wire the camera correctly.

well I'm really ticked off right now, I finally get my OEM Camera and what happens the wires are color coded different and I tried everything to make it work and nothing. I think I might have killed the camera. This really blows 200 + dollars down the drain, why does Ford do that, I see no need to change wiring around and change colors. Although, Ford didn't force me to buy the camera, it still sucks.

I just installed my cam and handle this weekend with no problems. Is that pics of the tailgate harness that plugs into the cam harness? Mine did not look like that (wires looked rigged). I cut the end of the tailgate harness off at the bottom of the gate and ran a 8-13g wire bundle to the back of the radio. I think you could always just buy a new tailgate harness from somewhere like tasca for under $25 ship incl. and see if that one is better. Is there a way you can get some alligator clips and test the cam with your TV?

I've got all the wiring to the head unit already done because I have a camera already installed and I have quick disconnects for the camera so that I can test it with the new camera I'm trying to install, but my problem is that I can't Identify which wire is which I don't know which one is the power, ground, video + and video -, since the wire harness has six wires that don't match the wiring harness posted on the the thread. I just don't know which wire is which and how many I need to wire. I've tried wiring it, but with no luck. It's frustrating as hell.

So your problem is in the tailgate harness not the camera harness correct?

It's actually the camera harness.

This is the end of the camera.

Ok, try this - Red is power ,Black #2 is shied (not used), Blue is not used, White # 4 pin is vid +, White #5 is vid -, and Black # 6 is ground. I made notes of what colors the wires turned into on the pic you also have in these pics. looks like #2 was a shield for something I folded it over and taped it up. So someone joined the shield and the ground from your pics. Is this helping?

I've tried that combination and it didn't work, but I'll give it another shot. It will take me a couple of minutes
