backup camera
sorry to hear that
thats all I got for wire colors. One last thing, I assume your wires behind the stereo are all hooked up even the reverse gear and you are plugged into the correct rca? I don't know the valor wiring. Just trying to help. Gotta go to work, good luck, hope nothing is fried.

I think that Ebay guy sold you a aftermarket cam. My wiring harness did not look like that. I would only buy from Tasca or F150partsguy.

I did buy it from Tasca Ford. Domenic's trying to track down the wiring info for me since it's a new camera. The manufacture date on the camera is this month so he trying to run down some info from Ford.
Dom should have the new wiring diagrams. I thought you bought it off Ebay from kawacam???
That's the camera that I have on the truck right now. I wanted a new one that wouldn't fog up and get moisture in it, that's why I bought this one. Do you know if it would be possible to mess one of this cameras up if wired wrong.
not sure. I guess if you wired the 12V to the shield or ground, it might fry it. I have no clue why Ford would go and change the wiring. Everyone trying to wire the cam to a 08 would also be screwed as the 08's are prewired for the backup cam with the old wiring scheme.
How did you mount the camera? Did you have do trim any of the tailgate? I had to use a dremmel on my 2005 and I lost a handle mounting hole. The wiring should be straight forward. Although when I went back and read your previous thread, it looks like maybe some moron at the factory wired the connector plug wrong. For example, for Pin#1 the diagram indicates a WHITE and your picture appears to have BLUE. Now,the question is...is the BLUE wire in the wrong position on the connector or has the WHITE been accidently switched for the BLUE and the BLUE is in the correct position?

I have the camera mounted on a stock camera handle that I bought along with the camera. I just had it painted to match, as for the camera wiring I'm lost, they seriously threw me a curve ball with that. I've tried a lot of combinations for wiring it and no success so I stopped trying I would like to get another one or maybe return this one, but I know I can't anymore since I've cut up the wires trying to figure out the connections. Either I figure out the key to wiring it or someone else does I can't use it, so for right now I have a 200 dollar paper weight at home.
Alright I figured it out. Now before anyone starts, look at the back of the plug and the current Diagram for the plug. You will notice that they don't match up. The number order is reversed The # 3 on the diagram is actually #1 on the plug and #1 is actually #3 on the plug. The #4 on the diagram is actually the #6 and #6 is #4 on the plug. The #2 and # 5 wires remain the same. So the it's basic wiring, Red is power, black is ground. #5 White wire with silver colored wire core is (video -) and the other white wire with the copper color core is Video + which on the plug would be marked as #4. Hooah!!!:
