Yes, JD has some pretty good prices on tires, and just about everything else. I usually call him first for everything I need. Thanks for helping us out JD

Well the second set of HID's will be in hopefully Friday but most likely Saturday. I just picked up a set of Diamond Audio HEX S600 6.5 components for $100 (msrp $560) brand new! I can say this is a mildly high end build as far as my system components are but I have barely broken the bank I have ran across absolute deals on the amps and now the components. As soon as they arrive I am pulling out my kick panels and starting to fiberglass them so I have some kick pods. Looks like it is starting to come together nicely
Where did you get the components at?? I need a set for my front doors. Once I find a good deal on those, I can finish my audio setup. I have an Alpine 5.1 amp and 8" sub I have been patiently waiting to drop in...

I picked them up off a member that has been posting in the audio forums. What kind are you looking at running and what is your price cap? I have a nack for finding incredible deals on things like this. Hell for my JL 500/1 amp I paid $100, for my JL 300/4 amp I paid $200, and these components I paid $100. That is only $400 for equipment that should be over $1500 by itself. How high end are you looking at going? If you can swing $150 approx I could get you into a set of Image Dynamics CTX65cs components. They are a very very good speaker for the money lots of rave reviews on them. There mid bass drivers are amazing from what I have herd.

Oh, right in the $100 range would suit me fine. I've got Pioneer 4 ways in the front door right now that will get moved to the back. That and I need something decent for the center channel...

They are not bad from what I have herd. If your just looking to add some bass I don't see anything wrong with them. I don't think they are stand out in the sq department from what I have herd. But for that price I don't see how you could pass that up.

I don't know which body style you have but if it is a 04-08 you can fit up to a 5.5" mount depth sub in a down firing box. That opens up your options a lot. I am looking at buying a JL steath box from a guy, it comes with a JL 10w3 that I am not going to want. If you want we could work together on getting it and split the shipping you can take the sub and I can get the box which is what I want. Right now I am the best offer he has with $150 so it would only be $75 right now for the 10w3. Just a thought

I have a 98 extended cab, my box is an upfiring box that is only like 4.5" tall, to open up my options some more would it work to build like a spacer ring for the box? or would that ruin all the sound

you can add a baffle ring I would think and be just fine. It depends on how much excursion the sub has do you know about how much higher you can go? or what the clearance is between the top of the box and the bottom of the seat?

honestly you could probably get away with a big longer bolts and stack a couple nuts in between the bracket and the floor if your going to only lift an inch or less.

yea if i go that route i will make my own, pry out of square tubing or round tubing though, maybe c-channel if it won't interfere with anything

how is the jl w3?? i've heard it's a good sub but don't know much about it, ik it requires .625 cu. ft. and i have .668 cu. ft., will that be close enough?? otherwise i guess i could just glue some blocks in the corners to cut it down a bit

I put a LMIwelding seat lift in my 03 supercab. It's a 3" lift and I bought it on ebay for $30 plus shipping. They aren't hard to put in, but you will need a couple of hours to do it, if you're doing it alone that is.

ha ha ya that will be close enough on the enclosure, that is just the minimum recommended. You will dip a little lower with more volume. The sub is very nice it can handle 500w rms JL has its optimum range running around 300rms. Its mount depth is 5 something but again spacer ring would help take care of that. I have done it on my old set up in a camaro to get the correct mount depth. There are several guys running them very happily on the board. I am looking to put an IDQ10-v3 in it otherwise I would run a w3 in a heart beat.
