Nothing here yet in Omaha, do have a weather advisory. Haven't checked the news to see what we are supposed to get.

Went to the autoshow for a few hours today; got to sit in cars Ill never be able to afford
They did have the new Camaro there, unfortunatley they have it roped off with the doors/windows shut. The lady there said that the outside of the car look exactley like the production units will, but there were things on the inside of the car that werent right so they didnt want people to see it.
Had a new Stang there in Grabber Blue...
The white GMC ext. cab has me wondering why Im not driving one of those instead of what I have now...one of those will probably be at the top of my list next time I decide I need a new vehicle.

I suggest everyone drop by the Chrysler/Dodge area and check out the eye candy...and I dont mean the cars

+1 on that dodge eye candy!

I really liked that Corvette ZR-1 they had over in the Chevy camp

They did have some pretty cool vehicles out there. I was really bummed that they did not have the SVT Raptor out there though. Guess that was just hopefull thinking.

I started my fiberglass work on the component speakers. I made my templates this weekend and have them coated with resin. Tonight I will sand them down and prepare them for mounting the rings so I can hopefully get the top layers of fiberglass on by the end of the week.

Glass is something I'd like to learn to do. Just don't have any projects, tho I'm sure if I sit at my desk and think about it long enough, I'll come up with something..

Ha ha you could do some simple kick panels for the new setup your thinking about doing and if they don't turn out it is not the end of the world. They are pretty cheap to replace, I must say I am really excited about this glass work I am doing. I have not seen anybody do this yet so if it turns out I should have a pretty unique install.

Oh and to learn more about glassing go check out http://www.fiberglassforums.com

They require you to setup an account but if you are wanting to do any kind of glass work they know their chit!

Glasswork is pretty neat. Messy....but so much can be done with it. Here is my old Acura Integra show car that I did was I was 20-21 years old. I was big into the imports at that time. Did all the work myself except for the graphics on the paint job. Smoothed out all the interior pieces and painted them. Did some custom work to the fiberglass front bumper - hard to see in the pictures but I notched out the middle lower portion of the bumper and made it into 2 little hook-type thingies. lol It was a fun car - sometimes wish I still had it. Click the link to see more pictures.

the old headlights in the oven trick?? Post up the pics when you get 'em!

On a side note, I just installed some LEDs into my license plate sockets. can't see anything during the day, I'm sure it will be a nice difference this evening. I am slightly concerned, one of them didn't really snap into place the like the old bulbs did.

05sprcrw, I might have to have a listen once you get those kick panels done. Im really curious how the soundstage it going to be with them down there. Are you putting the mids and tweets in kicks, or just the mids?

Someday I want to learn glass work too. I bought some cheap Bondo stuff a while back to practice/play with (was actually going to try to angle my mids up/back in the stock locations) but I havent motivated myself enough yet to do it.
One of these days Im going to rip everything out and redo the install since its kind of thrown in there right now; would like to try some glass work on the enclosure.

Thats quite the car there JD
