Recruiting new local member

I'm going to try to add another member to our local society here. Have a pretty good customer that brings his '97 F150 in for work when needed. Never thought to bring up this forum before. It has a 6" Fabtech with 35" Cooper Mud Tires, aftermarket hood, etc. Hopefully we can get him to join our ranks!

I think I'm going to order these components...
http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Type-S-...2574931&sr=1-1

at $85, they'll work just fine.

Ya those look like they will do just fine.

I just picked up a loaded JL stealthbox for $190 after shipping. Now I just need to get an IDQ10-v3 to replace the JL W3. I will then only need wiring and some sound dampener. My components come in sometime next week at which point I am pulling the kick panels and starting the fiber glassing on the custom panels.

I also need to check local for a decent 5 or 6" driver to use as my center channel. Going to modify the center dash tray to accommodate it. Plan is to center the driver in the tray, foam around it, trim, sand, paint, and cover w/ a nice black cloth of some description.

That would be sweet, but I have this huge issue of OCD and I think you should put two mid drivers either a 5 or a 4 in the same spot (if possible I have not measured). and depending on how deep the speaker is you may run into an issue of the driver magnet hitting the deck. If you are talking about the tray that is on top of the dash.

I'll have to pull the specs on the amp. It's a 5.1 setup, w/ a dedicated center channel. Not sure how I'd run 2 on the one channel. I'm a dummy when it comes to all the bridging ohm stuff.

This is the amp http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRAF...50.html?tp=115. Off to reading I shall go...

Actually crossed my mind the other night to go to a hockey game. Haven't been to a hockey game in eons, like 15 years. Last time I went was in college, all tanked up. Good times. Anyway, good luck to the Mavs!
Anyone going to the Auto show in town?
