Thanks for the correction, although its too late...
I'll be sure and tell them though...
And I got a '01 Taurus BTW. Its not a truck, but the guy setting me up with the Loaner didnt forward the appointment info, AND htey dont give out F150 loaner vehicles out either.
PS. I might be getting a new seat. I caught the "service porter" (their words not mine) driving off w/out a plastic cover on the seat. I chacked him out earlier, and he wasn't clean. So I asked what was up, after he pulled back up, since I needed some stuff. Here's the4 conversation:
"Hey, aren't you supposed to put a plastic cover over the seat?"
"Yeah"
"Well, where where the **** is it?"
So I told my service writer he might be ordering a new seat amoung the other stuff...

Tundra, why don't you give this info to Robert Lane over at BON. Why BON basically pulled the Lightning Forum I have no idea. It appears there was a lame response to any "intercooler issues". BON has more clout than this forum with Ford according to inside information I have received from officials at SVT.

Hey Tundra,
I guess you're not the only one dealing with CWF.
I dropped my truck (24K miles) off on 12/18 for the oil leak problem. First they told me they would have to remove the engine to get to the head. "It's alot easier," they said. I was told it be ready on 12/26. I called on the 26th and found out they had to remove the head again because the tech didn't time it right with the cam. I was pi$$ed.
The service guy (Mike) also told me the intake manifold was cracked and that was what caused the rough idle. I told him, "I didn't have a idle problem when I dropped it off!!" Then he admitted it may have been cracked when the engine was worked on. What a line of B.S.
I had to wait two extra days so they can order a new manifold. They also replaced two coil packs. I got it back yesterday and it seems to run better, but I'm worried about oil leak returning.
By the way, when I got my truck back it had grease and oil fingerprints on the fenders and hood. Plus the guy who drove my truck up front didn't use a plastic seat cover and was covered in grease and dirt. And lastly, I couldn't get a rental car; I was put on a waiting list. Last time I deal with those A$$holes.
Good luck.

99 Red L. Mine started leaking about 15K. Got a new one at 25K. Tell your dealer he's either a liar or incompetent, neither of which is acceptable. Everyone at Ford knows about this problem.

1999 build 8/1/1999 12,300miles
Had a leak from the Ele. pump one of the concection leaked and they replaced the pump. This was done at 11,500 miles and I was watching the level of coolant and never seen the level drop. And the Dealer found it on an oil change.
