There's a girl at the local private girls high school that drives a yellow (yaller) Typhoon... I guess I won't mess with her after reading all this. Lol.

Those looks you get are of utter shock that someone would buy a truck in urine yellow.
Riced trucks aren't my bag baby. Keep on spending your money on neon light kits and stickers you'll just be an easier target on the street. Make sure to wave as that ugly *** Lightning blows by you.

What I would like to see is a Syclone & Lightning race from a 30 punch to a 100. That would IMHO give a better indicator of what's quickest(not who has the best traction or whos quicker for the first 60'). Sy1999RT, isn't it past your bedtime?? Lloyd

Hey I know FastDak, and he does not run the crate motor, just the short block with a EFI friendly cam. That's $1200. Port work on some stock heads, shortheaders, pulleys, ported stock t-body,stock tranny, gears and precious little else. THat truck will run 11s with traction.
THe fact is the RT and 318 Dakotas have more potential than the new Lightnings, period. I couldn't give a rats what you run stock. You can brag about that on the internet.LOL. Does that comfort you when you get it strapped on you by another truck at the track? It never comforted me. That's why I'm a much bigger fan of the older Lightnings-potential.
The bottom line for me is I can run faster for cheaper with a Dakota and still maintain all the comfort and utility of a modern day truck than I can with a Lightning. To each his own,but I like to win races. Smackety-smack,Smackety-smack.
Tom

I know this guy, who knows this other guy..... zzzzzzzzzzzz......

Must suck to have pen!s envy over someone elses truck.

Well your truck can't compete so why are you here. If you like to win races stay away from my blk L.

you cant be serious on this one. just because your 18's and RWD cant hook up for anything. Have you ever tried speeding threw the pit and stage lanes, so right when you hit the 2nd stage light @ 30mph and punch it to 100 or however fast it takes you to finish the 1/4. now that would be interesting to see. now, i would love to race you to 0 - 35, that IMHO is the best way to test how quick somthing is. How often do you do a 30 to a 100 punch? and how often do you go 0 - 35? And it snows a lot in chicago, would you be interested in doing a 5 to 100 in the first snow this winter? i know i dont mind, and would LOVE to.

and DAKOTA R/T written in big yellow letters across the windshield
is this so that dont forget what kind of truck you have?

btw, 2night at the stoplight, i smoked a blue R/T with white racing stripes, and some loud *** exhaust. it was funny, too bad he didnt have DAKOTA R/T real big on the windshield, would have been a lot easier to read
T/R ATOKAD from about 12 car lengths ahead.

Talking

"Boo Hoo if I had this or I had that...."
The 5.9 & 5.2 has more potential for the junk yard. It's 60's technology !!! You guys always cry that if it wasn't for the blower or wasn't for the turbo you'd be just as quick. EAT ME !!! After a full season of racing I still have not been beat by a Dodge R/T. Blown, juiced and modded it doesn't matter because they all went down HARD. There's a reason those engines are going the way of the DoDo in 2002... THEY SUCK !!!!

Waitandbleed, I am serious about 30-100 I'd like to see that. I can do that anytime, And I didn't mean on the strip. What were you thinking? My 18's hook just fine 1.90 60' leaving at 1,000 rpm. without AWD we can't leave at full throtle like you. Not up to the challenge? Don't want to lose? I guess that means the Sy is the Quickest truck for the FIRST 60' After that the Lightning is the QUICKEST & FASTEST. I don't know what you're ranting about, you don't even drive a truck! And snow is not very common in Chicago anymore (last few years). Are you afraid to go 100 with your SUV?

the R/t reminds me of the 454SS. huge *** motor, but slow as hell. and there owners think that there truck is gods gift to the street.

btw any L owners out there know anything about the IC pump that your truck uses or if it uses one? or a site with info on it. went to the FAQ, didnt find anything.

Dude, if you only knew. The a$$ cracking I would put on you would truly be painful. In fact, I usually don't waist my time running the new Lightnings. The're just not competitive. Be careful how you run your mouths little boys. I live in Minneapolis, and wouldn't be opposed to coming down to Chicago to lay the smack down in my stock EFI,A/C'd,18mpg,able to tow 5000lbs truck for a little cash. ARE YOU GAME??--->smackety-smack,smackety-smack

And just how many thousand$$$$$ did you spend in mods to become "competitive"? what mods do you have? what year is your RT? You're going to race on factory rubber, & without N2O?
