There was a video floating around a month or two ago of one on a red Lightning. I think the truck was mostly stock. That would likely be the other one.

umm i called whipple months ago, talked to dustin, said i wanted one and had one sent to me.

I talked to dustin direct.

If you count the red lightning that makes 3 kits. The red lightning was given to whipple from ford to make the kit. the video is on www.whipplesuperchargers.com.com under the lightning page. That lightning was the very first truck to get one and on which the kit was designed. anyone who went to sema would have seen it. It was in the drifting demonstration. I have asked dustin who the other purchased kit went to so far but he will not tell me.

I recall Casey02 posting before you that he got one. Showed the pic of the box at his door just as you did. Maybe that's who.

TucsonPred, that whipple looks so good! Congrats. To those guys that can't hear the whine, the whipple superchargers don't really whine like a ported eaton or a KB. They almost sound like a centrifugal blower. Especially at idle. Anyway, here's a whipple on a 03 Cobra. Not that this proves anything. Just a cool vid of a whipple powered Cobra.

That was a box to a Cobra blower It was a joke from way back when

There is a KB sitting under my trucks hood; might have been a whipple if they were available, but that's a worthless point.

Hey Will , I offered in an earlier post you are welcome to borrow my KB, You have to drive right by my house anyway 5 min off I-10 mid way between Phoenix and Tucson. I personally would like to know as well as the whole lightning community which is the best for the money. Keeping the manufactures out of it and at local dyno shop SVC is the best scenario . Same truck, same dyno ,same day, same tunes, boost for boost , one test low psi maybe 12-14 and one with higher boost 18-20? I have the KB , upper plenum, and acufab throttlebody ready to go on work bench, and 3 pullies 3.5 ,3.25 and 3.0.

well i took my tranny down to send out my PI torque converter which fell apart inside. When i took the exhaust down and broke the seal between the pass side header and cat coolany cam pouring out. Took the truck apart today to put on a head gasket and found:

Broken number 4 exhaust Valve spring
head of number 4 exhaust valve sideways embedded 1/4 inch into the top
of my piston
trashed cyl head
crack in number 4 cyl

Rebuild time for me

Will

edit: I'll take pics tomorrow and post em up
