Whippled Lightning

You've seen it, now see and hear it.
Sorry it's only a minute long but it's something.
I cleaned Spanky's engine while he did my brakes yesterday, took a little video on the way to have my rotors turned.

Note it was 109 out (At 7pm)
Spanky can chime in to answer questions. All I really know is that "kick in the ***" I thought this truck should have when getting on it, his does.

Sorry no burn out vid.

This is for those "I want to see it running" people" enjoy.

Whipple video broadband (15 megs)

Whipple video small (Dial up 3 megs)

Please right click save as due to my site having flakey delivery

The video didn't do much for me. The truck itself sounds great, but I couldn't hear the blower enough to be impressed. I'd like to hear one in person.

Thanks for the video. The truck sounds good. Mine doesn't have a Whipple on it; and, it sounds mean as hell, too. I want to see some dyno runs, some E/Ts, a KB/Whipple comparo at equal pulley sizes, and, a year or so down the line, some reliability info. Oh yeah... I'd also like to see them readily available for purchase. That would be nice.

scaddy cats I tell you

NO-ONE wants to NOT SEE the Whipple, I just think everyone is afraid it's going to be another Works 112 or 140, and only a hand full will actually be made. Schitt I still search dam near daily around the net to see if ones up for grabs, hehehehe

In the mean time, KB is still the King as far as everyone is concerned,
unless Spanky goes out there and bust a mid 10 this week that is
GO SPANKY GO .....
Schitt with the engine compartment cleaned, he had to lose 100 lbs easy, there's a 10th right there.....

It truly is great to see a Diff SC under a L hood, and a dam beautiful one at that. I truly pray and hope it performs as good as it looks, and they start hitting the streets SOON.

As one of the original testers for the Whipple/Works140 blowers, as well as someone who's worked with and tuned most of the few other Works 140 trucks, I can tell you this.... The Whipple has already proven itself better than the KB. And all the proof has been out there, and is just some searches away. The Whipple has been proven to make 2-3 more psi than a KB with the same pulley combo. The Whipple does NOT drop off in power like the KBs do when spun really hard (in the 22-28 psi range). The whipple has a rotor pack built to much higher standards than the KB and I doubt you'll see any Whipples "locking up".

You guys who are holding out for the Whipple kits are in for a real treat. The blowers just rock.

As for the "hold up" on the kits, it's not just the Lightning kit. Whipple is waiting on more blowers from Lysholm in Sweeden, and they aren't shipping ANY blower kits right now for any vehicles.

How is that, I thought they both came from Lysholm, and the locking up was from case flex, no?
