It didn't lower the truck THAT much it just leveled it out and I think it looks a lot better with the 2" shackles. The install was easy and the results after for me were real good.

The '03 Cobras are pretty bad! They have lots of potential. I raced one that had a Lightning pulley, filter, exhaust, and a few other bolt-ons. I only pulled him by about 7-10 cars. What I failed to tell him was that I had just put a 75shot on my car. He had 2 passengers in his car. I had none.

7-10 cars is possible, but im gonna guess that it wanst an 03 cobra, probably the old 5.4L cobra. Cobras run in the 12's stock, unless those passengers were fat,

Nope, it was a '03 Cobra. EasterIsland and 10secL both know this guy. We all hang out at the local scene here in Nashville. Here's what I got: a filter, exhaust, and a 75shot. I also have my windows tinted and a MGW shift ****. Other than that, my LS6 is stock.

Yeah i was kinda thinking the same, but it could well be. 3 passengers can be 600 pounds, and i dont know the ls6 enough to tell if thats right but it could be. By 7-10 cars the cobra probably wasnt pushing it too much, but with his mods he should be in the 11's, depending on the pulley tune etc etc. Could be legit, but without those 2 passengers theres no way ill believe 7-10 lengths.

 

You guys crack me up. I NEVER raced him WITHOUT the 2 passengers, so that point is mute. I didn't plan on racing him, as I had a race set up with another '03 Cobra. I raced the other Cobra off the bottle and just slowly pulled on him. He only had a chip and filter, or a filter and exhaust. I can't remember. It was a close race. Then my buddy with the '03 Cobra in question pulls up besides me and the rest is history. After we pulled back in the lot, I found out they wanted to race me so bad because they saw how the other race turned out. They couldn't understand how I pulled him like that. They understood when I refused to pop my hood. My secret lasted all of 1 night.

If you guys want, do a search on my race with the '03 Cobra on this board. Or if you really want to, I'll see if I can find it. It happened several months ago.

 

its not that man, its just 7-10 cars lengths is a lot unless you were racing for like half a mile. An 03 cobra with the mods you mentioned is pretty much a high 11 car at least, depending on exactly how its set up. I find it kinda hard to believe that you pulled an 11 second car by 10 lengths with a bascially stock vehicle and a 75 shot. No offence, just seems kinda exaggeratted. But like i said, dont know your car, and dont know how weight effects the cobra.

 

I agree with you. "My" car is NOT even an 11sec car, though. I can't launch my car to save my life. Lucky for me that I only go to the track 3 times a year. There are some Z06s running faster than me at the track, and they are stock. 1st-3rd gear is aweful. Nothing but wheelhop and major spinning. Without his extra weight, I'm guessing we would have been very close. I found the link to our race, but it's already been taken down. If anyone would like to host it, I can send it to you. One of the guys in the Cobra filmed.

 

I say we roll down ta tha local trailer park & russle us up some LS1's so's we can end this here feudin'.....

Thanks. actually I thought about racing my bike. I just dont have the gear for it yet. There are a lot of them at the local track. They all are running like 10's that's nuts. I'd pry run an 11 at best but that's still cooken' on 2 wheels... I havent broughten it to the track cause I'm pry going to be getting rid of it pretty soon. It's a 98 I am going to sell it and I want to get an 03 Honda cbr 600rr. That may or may not happen, we'll see.
