Im not sure about his truck, but i would guess hes probably in the mid 11's at least.

oh and 15 car lengths = possible exxageration
15 civic car lengths

Edit: looking through some os mr freeze's previuos posts, hes said to have ran 23 psi before so . . . . i believe him

10secL and I put around 10-15 car lengths on a ws6 once last year. We were testing out the my 100 shot and 15 psi boost. From about a 60-70mph roll he was toast.

99 SS, in order to leave a stock LS1 by 15 car lengths, a Lightning wouldn't have to run anywhere near 9's in the quarter. Not even 10's. IF a stock LS1 ran the quarter at 108 mph (Which is a strong stock M6 LS1) then a Lightning would have to be 240 feet ahead of him to represent 15 car lengths. That is only 1.5 seconds faster. If the LS1 ran a 13.0 - 13.2, then we are only talking about a Lightning that runs 11.5 to 11.7. Thats a very possible number on a Lightning with a KB blower. With a built block, Nitrous, and the KB, that's actually a slow time.

Not to sound arrogant, but before you start playing the doubter on someone elses board, make sure you know enough about racing or have at least done the math to back up your point.

By the way, I don't even own a Lightning anymore, so I'm defending the guys story strictly on the basis of what's mathematically possible.

11.1 on a street tune and no N20. The street tune is very mild. 11.5 degrees timing, 10.8:1 a/f's, and no performance tuning for the tranny, convertor, etc. I haven't run a race tune yet and the N20 has never been used. Still trying to get the truck to hook up before I raise the bar. Here's some slips:

There you go, just as I said; He is running faster than 11.5. Running 11.1's without N20, on a fat fuel curve and street tuning. That's enough to put 20 car lengths on a stock LS1 that was running 108 quarter mile times.

LS1's are very fast indead and hard to beat with a good driver. I had a 2002 Firehawk with 100 shot of juice and was running 12.8 on stock tires. however i was only able to beat my lightning one time out of 12. even when i was spraying i wasn't able to beat an 03' Cobra out of 5 times i raced the guy. So i went and traded the Hawk for an 03' Cobra, and i must say i am very pleased with the trade. All in all i guess what i'm trying to say is stick with SVT, they know their ****!!

Wow ,seems like your Firehawk wasnt running at 100%. Ive raced a chip/pulley/exhaust/intake Lightning once and I whooped on him and I didnt even spray. Ive raced a 03 Cobra with an exhaust and I sprayed a 150 shot on him and pulled him real hard once I hooked.
Ive never ran my car with the spray yet ,but with just an intake/cat-back I was running 13.0-13.1's @106-108mph.

150 shot and 100 shot make a huge difference!! As for the lightning you raced i guess it wasn't running 100% either because it would be hard to "whoop" on one considering i have yet to get beat by an LS1 with just exhaust. As for the Cobra, all you need is a chip/pulley/intake setup and kiss your LS1 goodbye. Don't get my wrong,i love LS1's but i wan't going to kid myself any longer.

oh and you are running 13.0 with intake and exhaust setup, i am running 12.6 with my Cobra, completely stock, i'd hate to see what would happen with 150 shot of juice. Just something to think about.

Hmm..

That first time slip looks familiar. If you look here you can see spot # 9 (99svtlightning) has the exact same speed and 60ft's. Interesting. Maybe just a coincidence but great times anyway!

Not a flame here, but you just didnt know how to drive the hawk, or set up your car properly. In the right weather with a good driver a stock 02 hawk can crack into the 12's.

Not sure where that info comes from. But I can tell you that the track does indeed run down hill, but its after the traps.
You are correct about the Cecil mod.....

Do you even know what mods my car has? I dont even want to get into this 03 Cobra vs. LS1 debate because it has been beaten to death a hundred time. What if you get a nitrous kit too? What if a I get stage 2 heads/cam(which I am )? What if ,what if ,what if?
