My LS1 is the biggest POS I have ever owned, man it will be very hard for me to purchase another GM car after this thing.

Its pretty fast for a stock car but its not worth the repair bills that I have had to deal with.. Trannys, PS Pump, Brakes, SES lights, Rearend Bearings, Oil Leaks, Headlight motors... I hate that car.

THat's the reason i traded in the Firehawk for the 03' Cobra. I now have the Cobra and the Lightning to enjoy. I had NOS and exhaust cutouts on the Firehawk.

Not an LS1, but it's an awesome story:

Ask Blown318 about this guy Phil we both know. He squeezes a 100+ shot at the track, runs solid 12s, and has 140k miles on it!! I believe he's doing his first rebuild right now...but the motor has held up through numerous outings at the track, nitrous, and he drives it like he stole it!

Cyntaxx what are you referring to? If its the Firehawk, of course its got an LS1, pumping out 345 hp stock as compared to the WS6, 325 stock.

Huh? My above post was about an LT1 that I thought showed how reliable GM engines can be in reference to TTA89's comments.

You must have got a lemon then. My Harley truck isnt a POS ,but it has given more problems in the 4 months I have had it then my Trans Am has in the past two years. And the HD is almost stock!

Yeah it might be a lemon. 2 of my friends have had similar issues. They have great motors but the car is a POS. I just got a buyer on it Saturday and literally gave it away. I can't wait till its gone. I am gonna throw a party and invite all my new Ford Friends

I felt good after last night, i raced a white WS6 and boy did i eat his lunch. Beat him by about 2 cars. Talked to they guy afterwards to find out he was spraying 75 shot and had performance headers and exhaust. He was really impressed that i was able to beat him considering i am completely stock and have just 1500 miles on the beast. WEll i was really pleased with the results. i must admit if it had been a better driver it would have been a hell of a race.

good kill. my buddy and I race all the time now with the ws6. I get him by only a little each time. He runs 13.5's. I am curious to see how I'd do against him with a 75 shot. He should pull on me hard! anyway good kill. Shane

walked my first ls1 on the highway...

I was suprised, I raced an LS1 ss convertable on the highway. First we stopped and met up at this place we always meet up. I was in my L, then my buddy in his ss, ws6, gen 1 Lightning, mustang gt, and a z28... and we met up. Watched one race. an L smoke an ss Then we left. On the way home, the guy in the ss followed us, and my friend in his ss and himr aced. Eric pulled on him in like 3rd or 4th. They raced out of the toll booth, it was cool to see. I cought up to them, and I got infront of my friend and lined up against the camaro and got it down to 60 and I hit it and he hit it and I just took off. It wasnt even close.
I was so suprised. I thought he'd walk me. But I slowed down and he cought up, and said "thank you and nice race..." So after losing to my friends ws6, my friends ss, and me in the Lightning he went his seperate way. He was an old man. But real nice.
