I'm sorry you guys are correct. He did run a 12.11 on a 75 shot, drag radials, and his car was tuned by a shop in GA...

edit: I'm pretty sure he has one of those carbon fiber air intake things, not exactly sure what they are called or what brand it is.

 

Anytime I see a chevy guy say bolt-ons it is all over. Have you ever been to LS1.com? Stock is anything you want it to be... Who knows what bolt-ons include. Built 502 with 200 hp shot of nitrous and a blower?

having said that, I hate chevys, but I've gotta say that the Z06 is a pretty sweet car.

I wouldn't mind driving one at all (especially that sweet blue color).

also, some of you remember, last time I dyno'd my truck there was an electron blue ProCharged Z06 there doing something like 600 Rear Wheel HP!

It's funny how everyone is calling BS on Leonards post. I'll try to set a few things straight. There have been a "FEW" Z06s running high 11s, bone stock. Most are running in the 12.50 range. This past Saturday was my SECOND time ever to a 1/4mi track in the Z06. I ran a 12.70@114(2.2 60ft) last year with a filter and exhaust as the only mods. I figured I should drop a few tenths off my 60ft buy adding a set of 315/35 17 BFG DRs. I still spun the crap out of 'em. My best pass was a 12.11 or something like that. That was with the same filter/exhaust as last year, plus a 75 dry shot. Leonad has the time slip because I was racing him that run, so maybe he will post it. That was the first time I've ever sprayed coming off the line. I feel once I get some experience with drag racing and learn how to launch, I should be running mid to low 11s. On motor I was averaging 12.80 @ 110mph, so I was roughly 4mph and .1et off of what I was running last year. Track temp was almost 90 degrees. IMO, once Leonard gets his launch down and runs on a good track with ideal weather conditions, he will be running 10s. Of course now I know everyone will start laughing and waving the bs flag. Whatever....... And to the Corvette guys trolling over here, all i can say is I am sorry I am not as gifted or experienced at launching this car. There were several other Z06s there running and only one ran under a 12.5. So I guess I'm not the only one that sucks, huh? What's really funny is reading all of the posts on the Vette forums about guys running mid 11s/low 12s. They come to Bowling Green for a Vette function and are running almost a second slower. HHMMMM, maybe they forgot how to drive? Instead of bashing people trying to learn how to drag race, maybe some of you should try to offer some help........ I still beat a few '03 Cobras. One of them said he had every bolt-on you could do, minus a shot of N20 and the KB. He had a higher trap sped, but my et was quicker. He was running Nitto 555Rs. I guess everyone will say he really sucks also. :roll:

Err yup easterisland -- you may find this incredible but what you've suggested about the performance of the average Z06 is definitely less than credible.
