Dude, I have to wonder who is delusional, even BMW Trend could do better than that with a Z06. Mid 11's stock with DR's?? You bet your a@@

Stock = no drag radials, just like it came from the factory troll.

Rag et's are bogus and not revelent to the real world.

In the real world, we don't have Evan Smith or some other pro driver.
We also have a track that is not below sea level with 20% humidity and a 32 barometer with the temp at 45 degrees....get the picture.

There is no way on Gods green earth that a stock zo6 will run a 12.0 WITH drag radials at either of my local tracks as we have actual elevation of 7-800 above,it is almost always humid, and the barometer rarely hits 30.

If you have a zo6, you saw my offer, bring your rag reading bad self to michigan and prove how bad your stock zo6 is....but you had better bring 1k with you and leave your fantasy rag et's at home son.

Alright whats your point? Any car will run slower than it is at a horrible track. That fact of the matter is a BONE STOCK Z06 under the hands of a good, not perfect ,driver will easily run low 12's.

These tracks are awesome hooking tracks were i get 1.63-1.7 60fts consistently and No way will a bone stock z06 run low 12's on either of them.

When one guys ,brothers cousins freind claims that he saw one run low 12's...it was either NOT bone stock or ran by a better than just good driver under utimate conditions....that is the point.

These are the decent drivers that are running 12.70's at these two tracks.
The bad drivers are running 13.40's...and yes these are the 405 hp zo6's.

These are the best two tracks in Michigan...it is temp humidity, elevation and low barometer that make the difference between these tracks and the ultimate track.

The fact of the matter is, i offered 1k to the first bone stock zo6 to run a 12.0 at either of these tracks and all i get is...but the magazine says or with a good driver.

Talk is cheap and i could use 1k....that is the fact of the matter.

If you want to believe a Z06 doesnt run low 12's ,than so be it. I havent seen a Lightning break into the mid 13's at any of our local tracks ,so that means they cant go mid 13's stock? Ive seen a majority of them run lwo 14's and some BARELY break into the high 13's.
NateTrun2 ,a Z06(or LS1 for that matter) running all motor can still be very fast without the spray. On a mild heads/cam package Im planning on going high 10's without the 200shot.

Like I said I wasn't spraying on my 11.645 pass last weekend and the vette was spraying a 75 shot with drag radials. His best was a 12.11. Same track, humidity, and temp.

Dollar for dollar, the Lightning wins hands down. Think about the mods you could do with the $20k you save. I love the Z06, but I don't have the extra change. Plus, I have a boat. I also think it is pretty impressive to see a 4,600 lb truck run in the 12's with only $1,000 in mods.

Just my .02

Than in that case a Fox Body would destroy both....dollar for dollar is a worthless aguement...

Also the Vette can do things the L can't like kick some major *** at a track and hit some serious top-end...on the other hand no it can't tow a boat and no its not 4,600 lbs so isnt quite as impressive....

this whole Z06 vs Lightning is worthless 2 diff. types of vehicles... SVT never designed this truck to compete against the Z06....thats what the Cobra is more for...The Lightning was designed to rip down the 1/4, haul stuff...and THEN tow your Z06/Cobra to the track and rip down the 1/4 with both...shi*t it could even beat 75% of the cars out their while still trailoring your Z06/Cobra down the track...imagine if that were allowed
