Believe it or not, I remember Mr. Dennis mentioning he's a gun owner. Too bad he supports the people that would LOVE to do away with the 2nd Amendment.

Frank,

He's a gun owner alright, but believes in registration and licensing...I fear these ridiculous verdicts with regard to the tobacco companies (re/ that individual being awarded upwards of $20 mil) are a prediction of what will come and has come with the gun industry. It will be small things like registration and the eventual judicial economic murder of one or two gun companies that will render our rights obsolete. And I believe it was Raoul that jokingly mentioned increasing ammo prices to inhibit firearm use, and that is exactly another avenue I think they will pursue.

Essentially, there will hardly be any gun manufacturers left, or maybe none, because of the fear of lawsuits. In addition, it will prove too difficult and/or expense to acquire a gun due to registration formalities and federal taxes on ammo, thus adding to the financial woes of the gun manufacturers.

One thing that many people don't realize is that since Great Britian and Australia enacted their "Gun Control Laws" is that Gun related crimes have more than doubled. Citizens of these countries are 3 times more likely to be a victim of a gunrelated crime than here in America. In those countries if you attempt to protect your property from theft; you the victim are considered to be the agressor and in many cases are prosecuted. In my opinion gun control does not work. When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

That's just my $.02

Even better than banning them, tax the hell out of them. That way, only rich people could shoot at us and we could pay down the National Debt at the same time.
I believe that was Chris Rock.

Make bullets expense of hell, that way when someone gets shot to death everyone knows they did something serious to deserve it

Did you notice that the sniper picked an area that has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country? I guess he does not want to risk someone shooting back.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing myself. If someone tried this in my area, they would probably find themselves out gunned by all the rednecks.

I find nothing wrong with laws. I mean if you didn't have laws then someone could just go shot the owner of a cat that crapped in their yard. If someone just pissed you off you could just shot them without a law. So it is good to have law.

Restrictions make no sense for the most part, especially if someone stills has the ability to get it, be it beer, guns, or the ammo.

The problem is LIBERALS continue to cry their wussy eyes out about WE NEED LAWS, WE NEED MORE LAWS. My questions is:

Liberal wuss, WHY in the hell do we need more laws that you dinks don't seem to want to follow through on in the first place? Second, why do you want to use more paper to write these laws on? Did you not know we have to cut down trees to make paper? What about your envirmetal wacko liberal friends, don't they get pissed about you guys wanting to cut down more of their brothers and sisters the trees?

Third, it don't matter if we have new laws or not, because you guys (the liberals) find reason to get around the law to begin with, or find stupid excuses for the morons that break the laws. Wouldn't it be better if we had NO LAWS for you liberal dinks, that way you wouldn't have to find a reason to get your frineds off since there would be no law to break. Oh wait a minute, thats right, you want to be able to go to court and make your big bucks.

Screw the restrictions and shot a spotted owl they are as useless and stupid as cats....

Violence is nothing new in areas where control controls laws are
the norm. That's why I can't understand for the life of me why
people insist that they are effective. I'm not aware of any
instance in which they actually work. Anyone? I'd like to hear of
some countries or states that have gun control laws that are
effective....anyone? Now, can anyone name some of the whackos
throughout history who have used gun control as a tool to disarm
their populations? Anyone? I can name more than a few.

Somehow I don't think more gun control laws are going to prevent criminals from buying guns that *fell of the back of a truck". Which is what I don't understand?

Everyone knows that there are more guns obtained illegally that are used in crimes then those obtained by following the law.

I remember back in high school, some guy asked my friend if he wanted an uzi for $60 bucks. Hell, thats an easy deal if you are in the market for one.

The problem is LIBERALS continue to cry their wussy eyes
I'd say that root of the problems breaks down to 3 types of people: the Greedy, the Feelings, and the both combined.

Greed - we all know the problems of greed, no need to explain

Feelings - up we can't hurt any bodies feelings thats not right! incompetent is not a nice word to call them, they prefer "braincell challenged"! but it wasn't really his fault, his [insert lame excuse here] made him do it and he had no control over it! up we don't want the fat kids to feel bad because they're easy targets in dodge ball! listen, they are trying to loose weight and junk food isn't helping, since they don't want to be excluded from the normal sized people junk food needs to be more healthy!
... must I go on?

combined : God help us

There is to much desensitizing, and in the words of George Carlin : "pvssyification" going on. People need to learn how to say and hear : "get the **** over it" and "**** you".

Have you ever noticed how comedians such as Carlin and Rock (and others I can't think of their names right), have a grasp on political things, common sense and how things should be so much better then major political figures such as Sharpton or Jackson or nameless others???

My theory is the giant 'supermagnet' theory. All the restrictive gun laws in the world will do absolutely nothing to make anyone any "safer", unless someone took a giant supermagnet and sucked up every gun in existance (from the good and the bad), and took all of mans knowledge on how to build and design firearms, and any desire to relearn that information, before things would actually be any "safer". Ain't gonna happen!

Look at the Columbine deal - if I rememeber right (besides the murders involved) the two idiots involved broke something like 29 gun laws in the process. Are more laws going to make things better? Yeah, right...
