Anyone remember those debates during the 2004 elections? Man did it get heated in here. I left in 2006 for a short period because I sold my old 150, but returned in 2009 or 2010. it's been very slow since I returned. I must admit having to go back two or three pages to comment on a thread you were watching did get a bit old after a while, but this is almost like a new forum. Most of the other forums I visit are having similar issues.

I'm wondering if it isn't just the fact that there is so much information out there and as people get more used to the internet and searching for things the forums get less useful. Not too mention things like Facebook and the others where the younger people interact more frequently. I think it might just be progression, similar to how the old chat rooms morphed into the forums.

I agree totally on this. This is plausible too.

I still have an old BBS book with 300 pages of phone numbers... ahh, the good old days. Those are another phenomenon that disappeared rapidly after the 90's. (Which by the way, I connected using a Hayes 2400 bps modem inside my Packard Bell).

I still remember connecting to the Internet with my USR 56k Flex x2 V90 modem...

Most kids these days would be like what's a USR 56k whosamackie?!

And the days of manually setting IRQ and DMA settings right in the BIOS to setup my new SoundBlaster sound card.

These days you can go on Newegg, buy all the parts, and as long as you know how to use a small screw driver, anyone can build a computer.

Lots of people get what they want off the forum without ever posting and no one ever has to post again and it would still be a very useful database. I found it years ago searching for a solution for the intermittent odometer and started chiping in because like most of the rest of the people who add to the board I'm a know-it-all..

Well this thread has done it. There are now Awareness Ribbons.

I wear this ribbon in my sig to remind myself and others forum deadness is a serious problem. I pledge to start at least one thread a week to help fight forum deadness.

The forum will never be dead as long as people don't understand the search function - haha. There will always be threads like: What's the most humongous tire I can fit with a 2" or 2.5" level. Or even better: I just started murdering out my truck, I only have about 95% left to go - what should I do next?

Haha, you're exactly right I know a couple people in my area that should just buy stock in that crap. I could never bring myself to let that touch my truck though.

Well at least you spelled it correctly. The site Facebook page has it spelled F150Online. Dopes.

Meh, this site is better than a lot of others, but I think suffers from too many categories. Been here for a few years now, and usually just stick to the basement with the pre '97s.

Yeah, I agree... too much on the forum front = too confusing.

Needs to get a little more organized.

I wish that they would separate the ecoboost from the regular v6 forum though and add an i6 subforum.

I think they should utilize the sub forums features a little more. It would seriously scrub and clean up the first portal to the forums. Maybe making it load a little quicker too for some people.

Like I'd like to see something like:
