Bible Interpretation Question for the Experts
That was a good read but still found it to be very contradictory.
Here's what I mean:
The article makes references to certain bible quotes, but then offers his own interpretation.
I find the actual quotes and his interperations to contradict each other.
No one can hide behind the claim of ignorance. No one can say because they have never been given the Ten Commandments they aren’t guilty. The law is written on every heart. (Rom 2:1,3)
The above makes it clear there are no exceptions.
Then the author writes the following:
The short answer is, “No, God will not send anyone to Hell because they have never heard of Jesus.”
Then again the author writes:
NO one will ever be condemned for not believing in a Christ he never knew.
Then I am presented with another verse of the bible and it contradicts what the author wrote above:
The Bible says that no one is ignorant when it comes to God. (Romans 1:19-21)
I get the sense that even here people cannot agree on this, therefor there can be no consensus.

It all depends on the answer to my question. Below is a quote taken from the link Super FX4 posted
"NO one will ever be condemned for not believing in a Christ he never knew"
Do you guys agree with the quote above? Simple yes or no answers will suffice, no need to get into complex allegorical bs and parables up the ying yang.
I just want to strip away all the confusion and try to get an answer to the above question.

here's my take Habibi.
I have read the NT and OT
I have read some of the Talmud
I have read the Kuran
I have read the I Ching
I have read a number of the Gitas
What I can tell you is that when you look at the holy books of the various religions in the world they have a 90% overlap in messaging. For the most part, its the names, dates and places that vary. Oh and of course their interpretation by scholars and religious leaders.
SO if you subscribe to a Creator, then it would appear that this Creator has appeared throughout the world to all cultures and in turn these cultures have passed from mouth to ear the information given to them.
Therefore the Pygmies would have knowledge of a Creator and thus will go to the Heaven decided by that Creator.
No one is any more correct than anyone else.
Christianity says they are the newer version and therefore more accurate. Well if thats the case, Islam is newer and would be even more correct by that rationale, wouldnt it?
The important thing to remember is to do as your own Creator tells you.
Habibi, Super Fx4 is correct. You have been told repeatedly that you can not take a verse here a verse there and use it to prove or disprove anything. You have to know the context of what was being said as well as to whom it was being said. The book of Romans was a letter Paul wrote to the Church at Rome. These people already knew God and he was correcting some of their thinking and practices. What your doing makes no sense at all to someone that really reads the Bible and tries to understand it. What you are doing is purposely looking for contadictions. That just does not compute.
If I write down a series of thoughts:
"I really need to go to the store and I really need to go get gas. It's 1:00 o'clock. Not sure I have time before the game starts. "
Your method would be to read that and come to the conclusion that it is always 1:00 o'clock and maybe that it is 1:00 every where in the world Over simplification, but done intentionally to make a point.

All of the 'modern versions' have mulitple errors and contradictions.
Having said all of that, Islam is a later religion that has 'some' similarities to Christianity. The devil is in the details, as always. They all deny that Christ was the Son of God, which is key. Of course Christianity doesn't have the "convert or I will kill you" verses.

If Islam is studied, you will find that Muhammed was nothing more than a pedophile and a murderous thug.
Let's suppose for a minute that if the ancient tribe hidden deep in the jungles was never approached by Christian's and been given the good word.
So these jungle people lived a life away from civilization and were never told of the word of God, and were never preached to.
According to some people, salvation would still await them and they would still go to heaven. (Providing they lived by their moral compass and weren’t evil by their own standards)
So not a bad deal really, you live your life as a good decent tribesman, are never told about the word of God, and when you die, you still get to go to heaven. Life is good.
So if you guys are right, and you can still get into heaven even though you have never been exposed to "The Word", then evangelists are putting people into serious danger by exposing them to the Word.
I would be really upset if here I am, living deep in the Amazon, heading towards guaranteed salvation because even though I have never been exposed to 'The Word", I still live a decent life, guided by my moral compass.
Then without warning, some evangelist makes his way through the bushes and exposes his Word to me.
Now I am forced to accept Jesus into my heart in order to be saved, or risk going to hell.
Before I was already going to Heaven.
Stupid evangelist!
I've read enough of the bible and experts opinions to realize there are those who will say "nope, no exceptions, if you haven’t been exposed to the word, it's tough noogies for you, off to hell you go".
If this is the case then God is condemning people to hell without them having chance to find their way to faith. Seems arbitrary to me.
So if you used mathematics and want to ensure the greatest number of people get to heaven, then we should stop spreading the word right now, we will sacrifice a few generations to hell, but then after that, since the word won't be spread anymore, all those people who were never preached to would get a pass to heaven. Seems like this method would ensure a higher rate of return on those seeking salvation. The best part is, they will get in by simply not being told of the word.
Of course those who don't follow their moral compass would still go to hell, but think of all the extra millions of people we could help get into heaven by simply stopping the spread of the word.
If I was an analyst and my assignment was to figure out a way to get more people into heaven, this would be my solution.
The only negative I can think of is that if 90% of everybody goes to heaven, it won't be that special exclusive club anymore, and what about hell, how will they keep the fires burning without all those souls down there to use as fuel?
There would be massive layoffs in Hell! I don't know, I better rethink this.

Watch these videos in order, he can answer much more articulate than I can.
Remember, God loves the sinner and hates the sin. God does not create life and then disown it and leave it to die in hell. He provides. He gave us the freedom to choose to turn to Him or away.
2 things I love the most:
1. God
2. Freedom

I'll bet your excrement wont even go down the toilet.
I can't believe this revelation of yours could be so elementary school. I say that because I was in elementary school the first time I heard that argument.
You did have us going I'll say that. But it's like I said in a different thread,"I've been disappointed by every sideshow I've been to."
But the point you miss Habibi, is that you devote allot of your time to these thoughts of God. It also isn't because you see others, or hear them talk about it.
You give it so much thought for the same reason it exists to begin with. Self awareness is built into us by design.

My hat is off to you Habibi, you'll understand someday. When you do, it will hit you like a ton of brick, and change your perception of life completely.
