No Sir, I am done.
Please don't take offence at this but some of your replies have, IMO, been some of the most irrational I have read in a thread like this.
I can see that you are a true believer in your faith but it's gone beyond legitimate debate into something else with you.
Again, my apologies.

I'm paraphrasing there but you get the gist.
So, are they(we) born into sin or can we not sin until we learn about God?
Got to be one or the other right?

I will try to explain it for you. There is only one true God. The muslim faith is for all intents and purposes, practicing idolitry. So a "muslim child" is a child. So to be honest, children of other faiths are the ones being brain washed. Our inner selfs just KNOW that there is something higher. It isn't a weakness. It is innate in our being. God put it there.
We are born into sin. A baby's crying is sin, because of Adam and Eve. If Adam and Eve didn't sin, a baby wouldn't have a need to cry. So a baby, no matter where they are born, will go to heaven. A baby doen'st know it is sinning. Simple as that.

EXACTLY! Christians "took over", or absorbed Pagan holidays in order to control the masses.

First off.. sorry for the poor atempt at quoting. I wanted to get everything in context. You say that Christians took over the pagan holidays to control the masses. Christianity says we took over the pagan holidays to save people. No control there. I am a Christian by my own choice.

Now I'm not saying this still holds as true today as it did 1k yrs ago, but how many wars have people of the Christian faith started in the name of God?

Once again, the same old argument. Again your not realizing that it is MAN who has failed God. God has never failed us. You really need to see the difference between the statements.

Yes, and religion is not one of the commonalities. But we still get along just swell.

But your talking about a different idea. To extend what I get from your posts here, that us weak minded people need a crutch so we all gather together in huddled masses being fearful of the "real world"
I am saying we are not weak minded. We gather in solidarity no different than you gathering with your freinds.

Don't sweat it EA.
These hardcore guys all suffer from a mental defect.
Shines knows what I'm talking about, he won't admit it, but he is aware of the condition.

A few of these other fellas here, well, let's just say they took the "sense" out of common sense.

I think you & I, as well as several other "reasonable-minded people here all pretty much have the same beliefs.

I'm not opposed to the idea of an Outside Observer, in fact I'm open to the idea, there just isnt anything out there to validate such a belief.

I think the difference between guys like us and "those guys" is we don't rule out the possibility of God exisiting, whereas they absolutley rule out the possibility of God not exisiting, that's the difference.

Also, I don't relish the thought of good people spending an eternity in a fiery hell, and rubbing my hands together hoping for the day to come, whereas some of these nuts get all horny, almost impatiently waiting for the judgement day to come, so they can see us burn.

As opposed as I am to some of all your nut jobs beleifs, I can honestly and sincerely say that I don't wish anything bad to happen to you should you be wrong.

Not all of you however can say the same to me and like minded people who share my views.

Well said Alex.

I can debate with Shines but not many of the other people. His replies are well thought out and researched.
I think we even make him stop and think sometimes. There is hope yet for a free mind
I'd love to debate this (and any other subject) face to face with Shines over a glass of something. It would be entertaining, that's for sure

Shines is exactly where he needs to be. Free minds are lost minds.

Care to explain that?

On the surface it sounds like one of the dumbest statements I've read in a while, but maybe you're going for something "deep".

If you are, I'd love for you to elaborate.

Shines is alright, I wouldnt turn my back on him though, cuz you know the sneaky bugger will hide 'pocket sized bibles" in your coat pockets when you're not looking.

Shines and I have found and are a part of something bigger than us. We have a higher power to look for guidance for. We have someone who can always be talked to and will always listen. We are easily forgiven for our sins. No matter what we go through in life, we have someone who will help us through. We have God, as opposed to you "Free Minded" people. You have no higher power. No superior to look upon. No one to seek guidance or forgiveness. You are lost minds that need to power of God to help you see the light.
