There has not been a Christianity thread in a while...

Well, there has not... IMO, they are the most fun. At one time, Habibi and Mercedestech would have been classified as my nemesis. Most might even think that we might hate each other, and that there has been a lasting bitterness. This belief could not be farther from the truth. Have we changed each others mind? No, but we have had some fun, and created some friendships. What would yall like to discuss?

A topic that I know little about but it is my understanding ( not able with out research to validate my point, but here goes anyhow) that many parts of the old testament is/are a complitation of older stories and events from other cultures. Some of these events were also recorded concurently with the bible.

Perhaps some one else can provide the details.

Start asking... And yes I may be considered arrogant at times, but not enough to say that I have all of the answers.

I came across this: http://www.leaderu.com/orgs/probe/docs/e-otmyth.html

I am not gonna lie, I had to read it a couple of times. And slowly I might add...

Depends on who you talk to... An Atheist would say yes, that you are wrong. A Christian might say yes also, because of the "sometimes" and which god do you sometimes believe in.
