I voted for Bush in 2000, not so much because of who he was but, to punish Al Gore for the sins of Bill Clinton.

Now I vote for Obama to punish John McCain for the sins of George Bush.

The sin, Iraq.
March 2003, I was agin it and he was for it.
And it has been a bitter pill that has stuck in my craw these past five years.

I could give a rats *** about taxes.
Democrats will tax and spend.
Republicans will borrow and spend.

No sitting Persident can take away your Rights.
And if he can take away your rights, you didn't deserve them in the first place.

So on and so forth...

Bottom line, - one Issue - Iraq.
The republicans got pummeled at the polls in '06
and I pull the lever in November to seal the legacy of George Bush for all eternity.

I don't forgive and I don't forget.
thanks for asking, friend.
That is just shocking.

that has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. you would purposefully throw away our country because you don't like the previous admin holy s libs ARE dumber than they look.

BTW if obama has the oval oval office there is nothing to stop the liberal B.S. from rolling off the hill so yes he can try to take away our freedoms and if he starts with our guns how do we stop him, answer that Mr. this guy didn't have anything to do with it but well blame him anyway.
Many people vote one issue, I offer up abortion as evidence.
McCain is just making it too easy for me. I can't ascertain where he differs with Bush on Iraq.

Claiming Obama will take away our guns, rings of Bush claiming the boogeyman was under our beds. My guns aren't going anywhere regardless and if the neo-cons allow theirs to be taken away by decree then they are dumber than they look.

The Federal budget/debt will be huge regardless of the winner. The people screaming about taxes are saying, 'I don't want to pay, saddle the debt upon my grandchildren.'

But, as I already stated other issues don't interest me and I leave it to others to debate them however they wish.

I don't understand why someone from Arizona (or Texas) would be upset about my single voting decision anyways. The election is a series of state contests and Virginia hasn't gone blue since 1964. Some say the state is in play this time around so it could be interesting.

It would be poetic justice for McCain to win the popular vote and lose the election.

That came up during his 2000 Presidential bid, and as quickly as it came up, it was swept under the rug. Bush, an Yale educated law student, claimed to be ignorant of the fact that his house had that clause on it.

A lawyer that doesn't read the fine print (if it was in fine print). Who wouldda thunk it?

If buying, then selling a house with a Whites Only clause on it, is not a tie to racism, then what is?
First, Obama went to a church with a racist pastor for twenty years. That's enough to make me suspicious. If it had been Clinton and the tables were turned, I'd assume she was a racist as well (and I know the media would be calling her out).

For example, look what happened to Trent Lott. Strom Thurmond was a segregationist back in the 50s and 60s. Before he died, he was the oldest person to ever serve in the US Senate. Trent Lott said some nice things to Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday and immediately was branded a racist by all the major news media!

Regarding the "whites only" clause in the Bush's neighborhood covenant, that's actually common in older homes in expensive neighborhoods. It makes no difference whether or not it is still in covenant--it is unenforceable and is commonly ignored. You can probably find quite a few black politicians who have lived in homes with "whites only" in their neighborhood covenants!

It isn't just in the South. Liberal white congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's home in San Francisco had one, for example. They are a relic from decades ago!

I..cant..help..myself

Raoul you are being very close minded.

and are you telling me that when U.N. troops come knocking on your door and telling you that you must surrender your guns what are you going to do tell them to go away.

and if you don't think it can happen it can

as far as taxes if we stop with the foreign aid we wont grow the deficit as much and one of the only positions obama does have is to nearly double the foreign aid who pays for that

any dummy who thinks that we can just pull out of Iraq is just being silly it will destabilize the entire region and it will come back to bite us in the *** not too far into the future

and if you feel that you are not paying enough taxes I'm sure that the federal government would be more than happy to take any and all donations from you just go fill out your withholding paperwork and have them take out more and then do not claim your return or send them a little note that you are un happy that you do not get to pay enough taxes and to hold onto the rest

and why does it matter where I'm from single issue voting just shows a lack of intelligence in any state

and poetic justice would be him getting outed just before the election as a gay crack smoking goat f'er who likes to wear bum's undies on his head while he *********** to chickens clucking (97%) of Americans are not quite as forgiving as you are

That good feeling was pretty much wiped out by some of the posts in this thread unfortunately.

Well, a lot of un/under-educated people do cling to their guns when they think someone may take them away. It might not have been cool to say, but how many times have we read in this thread alone...
  • Obama's a communist
  • Obama's gonna take your guns.
  • He'll pry my gun from my cold, dead fingers.
  • Obama is a Muslim (He's not, but because of his name, people think he is).
  • He ain't Christian. (Well, from what I've read here, there aren't many Christian's here either.)

There's a lot of siliness, especially in the south, that won't allow people to open their eyes or their minds long enough to hear what the guys has to say. Must come from walking around Piggly-Wiggly barefooted, and the coldness of the floor has numbed their brains.

Consequently, they'll just go off what they've heard, and in their minds, it becomes "real". Sadly, what they've heard, has probably come from what a friend of their's heard. No independent research, just hearsay.

Where are you guys getting some of this crap from?

I don't knwo what's more upsetting- the fact that I'm reading this BS so frequently, or from whom it's coming from... People who, up until now, I thought were level headed. I won't call any names, but sheesh...

I'm stunned.

Lean Obama: ME, NJ, MN, OR, WA (47 votes)

Lean McCain: AR, GA, IN, LA, MS, MO, MT, NE, NC, ND (84 votes)

Base McCain: AL, AK, AZ, ID, KS, KY, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WV, WY (116 votes)

Education has nothing to do with it. It is our constitutional right to own guns. If we don't uphold that amendment, why should we bother to uphold others?

I live in the South and I take offense to that. There are alot of highly educated people who would also be offended by that. You're just as bad as the people you're condemning for making statements like that. There are just as many ignorant, backwards thinking people who live in the North, East and West as there are in the South. Where are you from Hersh?
