7 more Days (closer to 6) before our life is back to normal!! longest freaking 2 months ever.

Started looking at the Mercedes C Class for the wife. Looking at 01 to 07 year models. Found a few with under 100k miles for very decent prices. Just have to figure out which engine choice I want to go with.

Also looked briefly at the E class but they are big cars like the crown victory size. May even consider another M Class. it's all up in the air right now

I still may keep the my factory 20" tires and run them on the new wheels. Haven't decided yet.

FWIW my "old" tires with 32k on them have right at 8/32" tread depth. And my new 20s have a hair over 10/32" (basically new)

So my math means I can comfortably run 120k on my factory tires before they get too low

Maybe I should've got a 5.slow. I never thought to buy one for tread life but makes sense actually. Here I am on 3rd set at 67k miles on the eb.

The 211 E350 is a fantastic car. It rides much better than the 203s or 204s for that matter.

The S class (221 or 222) is a big big car. I'd think the E350 (211 or 212) is more like smaller full size. They aren't huge cars

When I see foreign vanity marques like that all I see are a series of very expensive repairs that (added up) would put you into a brand new Ford or Chevy.....

It's helps to have a friend that gets a discount on parts and usually willing to make repairs if needed. just gotta drive 500 miles

they can be quirky but finding out the history of the car and all repairs/maintenence done helps with the desicison also.
