Beautiful day today so I ended up taking the wife to deliver the material to her brother in New Orleans. He ended up treating us to lunch and then we loaded up his 2016 Lariat 4x4 that I had never seen...nice truck...even nicer then his 2011 Denali he traded in. After stops at Home Depot....Sams and then the grocery on the way home I did get to watch the last two holes of the Masters! Getting ready to eat some apple pie and Blue Bell ice cream.
What tires do you have on yours? I had a Wal-Mart gift card leftover from the previous Christmas that I applied toward new tires (Uniroyal Tiger Paws) when I picked mine up back in Minnesota in 2014. The tires that were on it looked great, but I suspected that they were the factory originals and I didn't want to take the chance of running 17-year-old tires on the drive back to Texas!
I am planning on replacing my tires again this fall and am not sure what I am going to run this time around.....
I can't remember the name of them, but they were the cheapest tires NTB had at the time according to the BIL. Non Name Brand. I'm looking at the Cooper Trendsetter Tires for my next purchase. 65k Warranty and 59 bucks a tire.

Where are you seeing those Cooper's -- I haven't run into those? That's almost as cheap as the Viva 3's at Wal-Mart! I was leaning toward the Bridgestone Ecopia's at Discount Tire, but they're quite a bit more expensive for the same tread warranty as those Coopers you mentioned......
Didn't know that, I'll make sure to reset it when I replace the battery. Thanks!
It has to do with the battery monitor system, and the smart charging system. Long story short, if you don't reset it, the truck will overcharge the new battery because it thinks it's an older weaker battery. Overcharging will significantly shorten the life span of the new battery.
The benefit of the smart charging is less alternator use, prolonged battery life, better MPG

Is this only for certain model year trucks or vehicles? Can't say that I have heard that before.....???
We lost another one of our pups. She had bad anxiety when storms come through. One rolled in last night and she seemed ok, noticed about a hour later around midnight she was still panting but didn't think much of it. Went to bed, woke up at 6am hearing a weird noise, found her and it looked like she was having a seizure, few minutes later she passed.
2nd one now in 6 months, lost her mama before Thanksgiving. Now have to think of a story for our 5 year old son before he wakes up.

A lost pet is always rough, must be tough losing 2 in such a short time. Sorry to hear.

Pretty much all new cars. If I had to ballpark it I'd say 2011+ vehicles (in general)
Very easy to identify if it's a battery monitor system or not, the cables have weird sensor looking attachments on the battery cables near the batter posts
