Currently trying to locate his owner. He has a collar but no tags. Currently calling him "Friday"
take him for a walk, he may lead you to his home. Have done that a few times and it worked.

When are you going to move into something maintenance free? I would imagine your place out in East Texas would give you more than enough opportunity to work outside if you wanted to work the property? Trying to keep up two places at your age seems like it would be a royal PIA.....??!!

When I get to your stage of life I hope to have a modest yard that someone else maintains freeing up lots of free time for me to tinker out in the garage......

"Maintenance free" is a beautiful term. Unfortunately, my wife does not believe in it. Dang! I hate yard work!

He was reportedly seen (with picture) about 3 miles from my house on Friday around lunch time. I may head over there where he was last seen and see what he does.

We were gone all day yesterday and he was fine. Went down to Georgetown to see young man Derek getting married.

Looks like a lab/border collie mix. Probably be a great dog. Just keep him if you cant find the owner. Whats another mouth to feed?

Well that was a crappy way to end the weekend! Hopped into the wife's Escape around 5:30 to go fill it up with gas for the week and grab a bite to eat. Got about a mile up the road when the heaven's opened up with a hail storm!

Made a snap decision to pull off the road and into a car wash thinking I could sneak into one of the stalls -- too late, already taken! That left me with no other alternative but to continue on down the street and pull as best I could beneath some overhanging tree limbs. I let the storm run its course but there were so many downed leaves on the hood of the Escape I couldn't really tell if there was any damage.

Went back home and found that my little Cavalier got it good -- covered with hail dimples from bow-to-stern. Swept the leaves off the hood of the Escape and found some damage there too. Not as bad as the Cavalier -- I guess the tree branches provided at least a little bit of protection.

The only silver linings I can see in this is that the Escape is over 10-years-old and due for replacement in a year or two, and I guess this takes away any feelings of guilt I had about using the Cavalier (which was in pristine condition when I got it last June) as a daily driver.....
