Yes -- I was staying right at I-30 & University. Ended up going 45 because I felt like having lunch at Sam's in Fairfield. Traffic was light all the way -- easy driving! Every time I go 35 to 6 I tell myself I have to go that way more often since it's such a nice drive through the country on 6.....

We really like 6. Little traffic, divided all the way. Just a pleasant drive since they completed all the construction.

As soon as I got home I put the Cavalier up on the ramps and drained the oil -- I'll let it drip all night and then finish the filter in the morning. It's so much easier doing the filter on that car when the engine is at room temperature since you have to snake your hands and arms through the various engine components just to reach the dang thing!

I don't have that problem. Its right on top of engine. I love the cartridge filter.

How often do you change oil and what oil do you run?

I change it every 3000 miles -- which has worked out to once a month since May. I run Pennzoil Synthetic Blend with an AC PF-47E filter.

I was planning to wake up this morning and wash my Cavalier as well but ended up rolling over and falling back asleep! I finally woke up around 9:00 (rare for us to sleep in that late!) and just did a quick detail of the interior -- once the sun gets lower in the sky this evening I'll wash the exterior.

That's the one thing I absolutely HATE about my house -- no midday shade of any kind so I have to either wash my cars early in the morning or later in the evening.......

Same here, I don't even like doing it in the evening cause its still 95 degrees at 830 at night.

I was able to do the cavalier around 11 yesterday morning and its small enough I can pull it in the garage, close the door and turn on a window ac unit to keep it some what comfortable.

No way I can do that with the truck.

Gave the Cavalier a good wash tonight -- between the last year of hard use and a hail storm this past April, the body is now at the point where I feel better about using it as a true daily grinder. When I picked it up last June, the body was in such incredible condition that I really felt bad about using it the way I was and leaving it parked outside to boot. However, the reality is that the real value of the car is as a reliable everyday runner that will keep the wear, tear and miles off my other vehicles for the next 5 - 10 years!
