Heading to Grand Isle this morning to take pictures of some properties for my daughter...right where the rain is coming in from the Gulf. Maybe I'll see a waterspout like they had down there yesterday!

Got the yard thatched, raked, and cleaned up in record time last night it only took me two hours. Although I may have cheated a little and pulled an acreage rake behind the tractor and then used a pull behind sweeper to pick up the thatch and dump it out near the curb for the city to pick up. I think I'm going to redesign the acreage rake so it's a 3 point hitch attachment instead of a tow behind so I can use the tractor hydraulics to raise and lower it.

Now all I need to do is get a box blade, get the loader built, and get the 3 point hitch plumbed into the hydraulics so I can start re-landscaping the yard.

Dave, since you're in the lumber retail industry......Which one of the composite deck boards is the best on the market?

Tonight's project is to dig the deck and push mower out and get them ready for the mowing season. If it snows I'll come unglued and it won't be pretty!!

I would say Trex just because it's the original composite decking and it's been around the longest.

Tomorrow morning the weather idiots are predicting 2"-4" of snow for us and NW Iowa is supposed to get 6"+......how's that for May 1st?....

so look at trex....I had been looking at the ultra deck from menards.....I really don't like their cheesy fastening systems they've got....

They do know that April Fool's day was 30 days ago don't they!?!? That's just nuts!!

I would..... Trex has a hidden fastener system and there is one made by National Nail called Camo which gets driven in at an angle on the nose of the board.
