I think so. He seemed better since. He did get up and work the day after and he has a hard labor type job. If I were him, that'd be extra motivation to try to give up smoking though....

well Thank you sir. I gotta do a little narrowing down in interested courses tonight, then another meeting tomorrow with the guidance counselor.

Time flies....

Quarter after 10 but got a few things done, including narrowing courses. Currently most interested in welding, but see where that leads....

I think a stint in the Army would do you good -- have you ever considered it?

Agreed. That's one thing I sometimes wish I had done. My dad and brother both served, and I did not, so there are times when I wish I could stand with them. There was a time when I almost signed up, but I went straight to college instead. It's definitely something to seriously consider, especially if you are moping around, unsure what to do with yourself.

Is it just me, or does the forum seem to be seeing a bit more action lately?

do not for a second underestimate the respect I have for those people and what they do and risk. But. Water will catch on fire before I wear that damn flag on my arm or fight for it.

Who in God's name is Canada going to battle? When things get "hot" they send the Americans.....lol

Seriously -- look at some of "Speeders" posts. He's learning a valuable trade and getting out to see the world at the same time! Sure beats driving around in your truck and taking gloomy pictures of the Canadian countryside!

I would post a bunch of bright summer pics, but you'll come up with some word for those I suppose. I'll learn something. As to driving and taking pics, both things I like and will always do in spare time.

Canada - OK, I'm stopping here, not appropriate for the friendly BS thread. But I meant what I said about wearing that leaf.

Hey -- I'm not busting your *****! I'm just giving you advice based on other kids I've seen who used the military as a way to gain confidence and direction in life! Not a bad thing at all!
