Agreed. That's what I would buy with my own money.

Well I just looked at a new one at my local dealer. Once you tack on the supercrew and the 4x4, the STX part of it doesn't help keep the price down. It's stickered at $39k. I could get a slightly used '13 FX4 for that. Or maybe even a leftover new one. As I said before, I'll check back in 2 or 3 years.

I've been drooling over that body style supercrew for months. I'm determined that one of those will be my classic truck, whenever I get one.

That thing is gorgeous, but it's not worth the money. Really nice and clean ones can be had for less than $15k. Those trucks just can't hold the value anywhere near that. Actually none of that era crew cab trucks from all 3 makes can hold it. I saw a Dodge one that had $100k worth of chromed suspension, completely custom interior, etc. and it didn't even sell for $20k at auction IIRC.

I hope like hell I can get one before their value shoots up. But I'd rather buy a nice rust-free with nice paint, etc. that isn't perfect for $15k and dump my own $20k into the rest so it's exactly how I want it.

Yep - nice truck but you'd REALLY have to want it to drop almost $40k on it! Sure do like that 70's era body style though!

What a shame! Mine is so dirty from the rains and the farm, they won't let me use the car wash.

Gotts would've loved this one place we looked at....over 20 Escorts in the backyard....the owner is bigtime into fixing them for his daily drivers....most of those were his parts cars....passed on that house...basement had water issues
