It has a pretty good dent in it but think I can work it out a bit before I have to fill it. It's the metal part so I can take my time. The lower valance, I just might buy me a new one.

What were your steps/products?
Thanks John.

I washed it with the new improved Turtle Wax car wash with warm water.
-Bug and Tar remover on lower panels.
-Megs deep crystal cleaner wax.
-Took wax off with an orbital.

Thats pretty much it. I wish I had some commercial cleaning machines to really buff the paint out. Also to be taught the right way on using a machine. This trucks paint in some spots was comin off. There were scratches and pits everywhere. The whole truck needs some body work, couple dings and minor rust on fenders which are common for Dodge trucks in that year. Threw out all the sponges and rags used to clean it, had so much paint flakes and debris imbeded in them!

the valence will probably "spring" back out once the bumper isnt pushing it inwords, and if there are any grooves, just put a thin layer of glass over it before paint :o

Really eh, its hard to tell from the pics. I was going to say if it wasnt to bad you could get away with a good high build primer. But for sure your probably better off to buy a new valance. Less headaches.

Good thing you threw them out. Don't want any evidence you grabbed the horns!

I can't say anything. Mine has a mysterious power steering leak that I can not find. The only thing I can find is the tranny line's spewing out fluid where it connects to the rubber hose before the cooler. It has me stumped a little upset.

Maybe a seal in the power steering pump itself? or rack? A dry rotted tranny line? Just giving some alternatives, although when I had my Dardge the tranny line was always wet near the cooler. It was a common problem, but after so many years it did the samething all over again.

High preassure valve assembly? Is it leaking on or near the power rack dust boot at all?

I'm not sure. I've checked all power steering lines and they seem to be fine. I don't see any wet spots around the rack either. I've searched where the common leak areas are and checked a few other things but came up with nothing, it's been driving me crazy. It went from every couple months of adding fluid to every few days. It seems to have gotten worse since the night I got it stuck last month. As a matter of fact the night I got stuck I had to dump fluid in it after I got it out because it about ran dry.

The only "leak" I can find is where the steel line comes from the tranny cooler into the chunk of rubber and connects to the steel line and goes back to the tranny. I can't think that's my power steering leak though.
