The thread on the other site said you had to pry out the 4 tabs on the rear of the box and that it was even harder getting them back in. I tried to do that and saw I was going to tear something up. Turns out they are hinges. Don't know how he achieved that. Bet he ruined the "tabs". It was pretty easy to remove once I took off the clamp and separated the tube. Just kind of an extra step from the the earlier models.

Me too! I suppose the same smarts that caused him to do that and post it was the same smarts that placed him on that forum. Hopefully, he stays there!

Back from the road trip to Maryland. 2,500 miles from the 11th to the 20th. Truck ran flawlessly but I'm going to dread the gasoline bill. First time truck has seen hill's or mountain's.

Birthday today. Brothers picking me up in an hour. No idea what's going on, - something smart.... Not very good with surprises, - since most of the time those have cost me money.

Happy birthday Jim!

My middle brother picked up a 2012 XLT 5.0 Screw 4x4 to replace his 2010 XL screw some idiot totaled a few weeks ago. Hope he has better luck with this one. His last 2 vehicles have been totaled by stupid driver in the past 1.5 years

Cleaned up the truck today. Got most of the bugs off. Finally gave up. A new batch will be there tomorrow. Leaving out at 6:00 in the morning for Athens. Will be a bachelor this week.

Running the speed limit mostly 70 and 65mph limit's I got up to 18mpg. Mostly in the hill's and mountain's it dropped to 17.5-17.7 range. Trip put me through Louisiana,Mississippi,Alabama,Georgia,Tennessee,Vi rginia,Maryland and small part's of West Virginia and North Carolina. Wife got tired of riding before I got tired of driving!
