Gonna' sneak down to my local dealer today and see if they have a 2015 out yet -- interested to see these trucks up close and in person!

In a few days I'm helping a friend change his spark plugs in his 2012 Ram 4.7L. Do any of you know if they have the 2 plugs per cylinder like the Hemi does? I hope not.

EDIT: Just did some digging. Apparently they do have the two plug design, a top row of plugs and a bottom row of plugs per side. Top row is to be changed at 30K, bottom row at 100K. Seems stupid.

Didn't know that. I would have thought I had a V16.

4 cyl Ford Ranger engines had 2 plugs per cylinder back in the late 80's. Not that uncommon in some military and fire trucks years ago. It does provide a cleaner burn and some insurance against a burnt plug shutting down a cylinder.

Yep....this is due to larger cylinder size

The 2 plug ranger was from 93-97 only in the 2.3 sohc....the second plug fired on the exhaust stroke....the 6.2 fires both on the combustion stroke

When I was a Ford salesman in late 1988 and early '89 they definitely had the 2 plug per cylinder in the Ranger...stolen idea from the Pinto!

It rained pretty much all day today but they've changed our forecast. It looks like there is a slim possibility for a white Christmas.
