I bet they pulled a fuse or connector for it. Assuming the shop had it for less than an hour during paperwork stuff

found this..... http://www.dealershipforum.com/forum...66&postcount=4

evidently the durangos I was looking at had the RA4 head unit which comes with the nav feature activated....

now the RA3 which she probably got is nav ready but needs the $595 access code to get it operational....when she test drove it they probably had it in "Dealer Mode" which is only for demonstration purposes.....of course....

there should have been a free 6 month trial but depending on when dealer took delivery that could have expired....

and to make things worse....the RA4 and RA3 head units are only installed at the factory and cannot be easily swapped after the fact....

jeez....had to open the checkbook last night and write checks for the yearly fees at school.....I thought the taxes I pay(which is outrages compared to other school districts) could've+should've covered them....

4 more years and I think we're going to move to a more affordable school district....or still move and send her to a private school...

It's 16 here in Texas but there may be a hardship thing at 14, not sure. Seems that the hardship is now 15.

It's 16 now but when I was 14 I was able to get a learner's permit taking driver's ed in high school. Got my regular license at 15 way back in 1962! I drove tanker truck's and van's for Texaco with a chauffeur's class D license before they had CDL's. Last time I checked I have almost 1.5 million miles driven since then...no chargeable accident's either!

Got mine at 14, and after passing the test, went to work that afternoon driving a delivery truck at an auto parts store. Already had a car as well. !950 Plymouth.

My dad let me use a '54 DeSoto to keep me out of my mom's Olds and his Volvo...didn't care because it was better then walking or riding my bike! Flathead 6 automatic but I could make the tires chirp in passing gear!

Too many distraction's for kid's driving in today's world. I had to learn on a stick shift Rambler in driver's ed. Most car's back then had no AC..power steering or power brakes. Only 1 or 2 radio stations worth listening to and they were AM. Drive with the window's down most of the year!
