Let's just say that the torque and horsepower put out by that 455 Rocket engine was a big hit with my teen-aged buddies......

By and large, I am too -- I consider my '05 to be one of the last body styles that was designed to be a truck without some kind of compromise being made in the sake of fuel economy. One could argue that the '09 - '14 body style was truly the last to be designed in such a way, but I much prefer the looks of the '04 - '08 trucks. The way I use my F-150 makes fuel economy largely irrelevant, and since I will be keeping it forever, I am glad I have it set-up the way a REAL truck should be -- regular cab, short box, with the sweet sound of a V8 engine purring through the exhaust pipes.....

Bought ours new, it was the last one at the dealer during a strike. White, had a green vinyl top put on it, green interior. Drive it for years. When our son was 13, I offered to buy him a Mustang or Camaro and restore it by the time he had his license. He said "awe Dad, I'll just drive the Delta. And he did till I gave him a 66 Mustang for graduation.

Ive had a few GM's but never new and not close to new and never had luck with any of em.. So far knock on wood the little Cavalier we have has been running great.. 148k on it so if it blows up tomorrow i cant say much bad about it.

It seems like Gm stays so far behind the competition, 2014 Model Silverado is as close as they are going to get with the competiton, come 2015 they are going to be a distant 3rd again behind Ford and Ram. If i had to go another way besides ford it would be a new Ram. And yes with a V8 Hemi

I am still going to pull the trigger on a 15 model F150 and was really thinking about the 5.0 but after reading the HP for the EB i think im going to stick with that.. Just think what that 380hp/460torque would be after a good tune from someone like MPT.. Probably 460 hp to 480HP 550 Torque.. That thing will scream!

Just trying to figure out if i want to keep the 13 and get a 15 or trade it in for a 15. I kinda want to keep the 13 to rack up the miles on it for all the naysayers that dont think itll go past 100k :lol

GM made some pretty nice car's untill the mid 80's when they went to front wheel drive. And that was right after the diesel powered ones in the early 80's. I had a '66 Delta 88 2 dr hardtop with a 425 cubic inch. I bought it from my Dad for a second vehicle in the early 70's for $500 buck's!

These were caught on yesterday's trip out in the Gulf...my nephew from Maryland and his bosses. Mawmaw and I did the babysitting for the one year old and had us worn out. I did get to take the picture and deliver a cooler to the airport this evening for shipment to Maryland. About 40 lbs of fish filets! Tuna...snapper...amberjack...cobia.

Back to the airport later today to pick up my oldest grandson (14 next month) he's spent about a month and a half in Phoenix. I'm sure he'll be good and hungry too!

They start really eating about that time. My 15 year old GS eats like it's his last meal and he is tall and slim. Don't know where all the food goes.
