After all we put ya through I will give ya a couple free shots... I did give ya hell, but just admit, to put this to rest, you had it coming. Talking **** about CB's on a FORD TRUCK FORUM. Might as well visit the Bush household for thanksgiving and discuss your hatred of oil

after all this talk about CB's I have gotten curious. Dont be surprised if I get a CB radio and put it in my truck for ****s and giggles. I dont want a huge antenna though. I am not kidding either. I may give it a try.

I agree I shouldnt have posted that on this forum but oh well. It made an interesting **** talking thread. I couldnt wait to get back on here to see what was said when I got back to Dallas. I have pretty tough skin and can handle some bashing.

about myspace....I thought it was gay until about a couple years ago when I got convinced to start a page by my ex girl friend. Now I like it. I store pictures on there and also communicate with some friends back in Florida. Its just another form of communication to me. Kind of like a CB!

Cobra makes one that is pretty much handheld. You still need a external antenna, but you can use a cheap magnet mount(from Walmart) and stick it to the bed putting the top of the antenna about as tall as your cab. Run the wire through a back door and no drilling or permanent instillation would be required. That way if you dont like it no harm was done

Honestly I have never used a CB before and I am completely clueless about how to work them. I think I may give it a shot. But I think it would only be fun if you know other people that have them. By the way whats the range on a Cb radio?

Alot of variables limit range. Even with a basic CB and antenna set-up, like the one KI mentioned above, should get you atleast a good couple miles. CB's benefit from a nice whip antenna, or dual whip, and open flat area. They can also be tuned with an electronic tool for more range.

Based on my experience...4-8 miles...It really depends on what you buy. Some have more boosts than others.

Aight, I do have to say this.... I had an extremely crappy day/night, I logged on to read the latest, and you calling me an old man made me laugh out loud for real.
I don't know why, it just caught me in a peculiar kinda way, and I'm still laughing.
Btw, I'm 41 and I just realized now that old age snuck up on me when I wasn't looking.
No I'm not a intertnet tough guy, I'm exactly the same on here as in real life.
You said some stupid things which offended some people and you got a reaction.
I get the feeling you're sharp enough to know it was coming.

Perhaps fkhead was a bit severe, I think dumbass would been more in order.
The 911 thing set me off, I'm sure you can understand.

Peace
